It all started well for you until stokes played a heroic innings to score what seems a par first innings. It seemed to me your lot got done by an unfamiliar bowler which is poor but you really gave up a bit. England have a lot of issues still but it's all down to Amla and root. If malaise got early you have a huge hole in the side. England have 3 lads in that might only score 40 between them. But England have 5 guys in cook, root,Barstow, stokes and all I who can all svore heavily and can be hard to get.... on their day. You need to bowl better next time out and get a good opening pair going. Cook hasn't had the conditions and no century yet but he's done ok. Toot has been decent, Barstow very hard to get and stokes is getting better and better.
Here's the video clip .( Watch the lad in the background ) http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/40781223
His bowling has been a lot better recently but usually its fairly inconsistent and he get smashed about from time to time. His batting is pretty damn good. Look may the change in form in his bowling continue.
England are lucky to have 2 quality all rounders in their side in Stokes and Mooen.. wouldn't knock them and would make it into most test teams around the world! Bowlers that can bat will only get better once Woakes is back and Toby Rolly Jones gets more games, looks more than competent with the bat! The trip down under could be Jimmy's swansong, not the player he once was... if Wood stays fit and Woakes available, doubt he makes the team when the home tests come round next year.
At home if anderson can swing the ball you get 10 overs from him. Is bat enough... I would say hes more likely to play at hone not away tbh
I'd no idea anderson has never had a 5 for here.... England look to be wanting to get him as long with the ball as possible today...
yup. england have basically given 2 wickets aways every game before they even start through selection. you get an average of one batsmans innings from the 3 players. today jennings, westley and malan have managed a total of 64 between them = an average of 21 each... cook has given england 46 which is par bascially.. so either root goes and gets 150 or england will be playing off 300 or so again and hoping to clean up the SA batting fast.
hugely. what a mess from De kock after being bigged up. he didn't even move for it. root still got 42 which is par though... all batsmen should be at min able to get that and the 3 above just are not. 3 all at once is too much imo. Stokes has started very well. Its a bloody tough day out there.
