That's a good signing if you get him.

    He'd get into Arsenal's team.

Aside from that being irrelevant... Being able to get into the centre midfield position at Arsenal does not mean you actually have to be any good when all you have to do is be better than Ramsay.

    Matic is bang average.

Reading up I see Matic is 28, I thought he was over 30 for sure... Fellaini is 29.

Fellaini - Carrick - Matic: the speed and intensity of your midfield will be awesome next season.

Old T gonna be rocking next season

Matic, Pogba and Herrera will be the CM.

We have Mkhitaryan, Martial, Rashford and Lukaku to speed things up <ok>

How you've spent so much money to assemble such an unspectacular squad defies belief. You should be walking the league on your spend

You should know how it is pal, you spent a relative fortune when Roman tipped up then watched us dominate the **** out of you a couple of years later, 3 in a row with a PL & CL double in for good measure, you'll definitely remember that one <laugh>

I know, it's crazy. We've spent around £550m since SAF retired. Madness.

If only we'd been more frugal like Chelsea, who've only spent £550m since SAF retired. Then we too could have Kante and Bakayoko in CM, for a guaranteed one goal per season <ok>

Now hit me with some net spend argument, cos everyone loves that one...

    What's he got to #fear?

With Kante and Bakayoko banging in the goal (just one), Chelsea will be an attacking force to reckon with.

Maybe we should have a sweepstake on which month Chelsea's goal from central midfield will happen? My money is on November <ok>

The champions won the title last season on £20m net spend!! ;)

City looked good v Spurs at the weekend. Are they favourites this season to dethrone Conte's Nettos?

We'll miss Matic's goalpower. That one against Spurs at Three Point Wembley was a belter tbf!

Actually NM was quite an attacking player at Benfica and scored a couple of blinders. But Jose soon put an end to all that. ;0

Nah, Mourinho just started the process. It was Conte who finished it.

Van Ginkel and Matic gone, Fabregas out of favour, in come Kante and Bakayoko. Is Netto allergic to CMs who might score more than one goal per season?

Yes, Matic scored 2 last season including that screamer v Sours at Wembley, so I am guessing his goal against Boro signalled the end of his Chelsea career!

Tbf to NM, he was an absolute beast for us from January 2014 when we signed him. And even better 2014/15 until he get sent off v Burnley.

He never got his form back after that sending off, but was still instrumental in us lifting the title (on a £10m net spend :)
