Some interesting stuff coming out of Birmingham. According to their local paper they're preparing a £10m for Abel H (Which as we all know is the magic number). They've also yet to decide on offering Ravel Morrison and Simeon Slavchev contracts, both were left on the bench last night as they lost 2-0 to Swansea. I'd take both. Finally, Ryan Shotton looks set to leave as he was left out of the friendly last night because of a rejected bid from an unnamed club, thought to be Boro. 'Arry said he wants to move and didn't play him to protect him. He'd come to us if we made the right bid, but I think our bid was turned down as well and I can't see us going back, which is a shame because he's a very good full back at this level.
We're not going to be replacing premier league players with premier league players when we're in the championship.
I'd be surprised if Hernandez saw Brum as a positive move, but I'm sure his agent would be rubbing his hands at the agent's fee.
Just have to get used to things done on the cheap now guys, at least till allamgifts paid off, i dont think we can compete in any bidding wars with the likes of boro etc
Whats happened to ryan kent anyways, taking a long time deciding where to loan him out too how many loanees can we play matchday? Is it two maximum from any team and 4/5 in a matchday squad?
We can have 5 in a matchday squad and 4 from any given club. Ryan Kent is currently on Liverpool's tour of Germany. When Slutsky said some will come in after Villa, he was probably talking about him. If he agrees to come to us that is.
The annoying thing is ehab clearly did no groundwork whatsoever on players, if we'd/he'd of been prepard he'd of identified players well within our budget, and instigated talks to bring them here, he's clearly not done any of this which is why were at where were at stumbling from target to target only to find out there beyond our financial reach Ehab allam prize ****
That's historic, the loan was taken out after we lost £23m the last time we were in the Championship, it might well have been paid off after promotion.
The accounts that come out this October will show if it's been repaid, as long as it wasn't repaid after June 30th.
But we're not replacing them with championship players either, we are replacing them with mostly untested kids
While we certainly needed to have done more business due to a paper thin squad, you look at some of the signings others have made and it isn't that great. I'm pinning my hopes on the fact we didn't sign players like odubajo and Koren until into August, crazy I know... Derby have signed Davies Hudd and wisdom. But lost Hughes, Christie and ince. I know which three I'd rather have. Not sure how accurate this is https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/championship/transfers/wettbewerb/GB2 Wolves will be interesting, either smash the league or a disaster. Harry buying a few at brum, whether that's just to get his percentage or he's genuinely having a go...
