Whilst we've had decent full backs and a couple of defensive midfielders make the grade when was the last time we had a flair player come through the ranks ? Strikers and pacy wingers are the most sort after and expensive in football and the last one I can think of who was class would be Arron Lennon.
Think the continental kids being sourced at present are intended to be the bedrock for years to come. Homegrown flair players are fewer generally - only Championship example I can think of off the top of my head is Will Hughes at Derby, though there must be others.

Del Fabrio, one that got away imo Doc. There were big things being said about him before he come to leeds, I mentioned the asset Del would be for Leeds, but many didn't agree with me, I think it was the name calling that give it away
Dario Del Fabro did seem like he'd be exciting but he's 22 now and played about 15 professional games. Have no idea why Juventus would sign him when no other clubs seem willing to play him.
