For high earners maybe. You wouldn't just put them in your lower earners contracts. All those that have left with release clauses have come from the premier league with solid premier league pedigree. Except for Curtis, who's release clause represented his real value.
Maybe if he is still here after the window, the club need to do the right thing by Sam, show him he's the main in man, increase his salary and contract and protect our investment..
