While Ashley may have said we need to live within our means I dont think he would have an issue subbing the club some cash knowing he will get it back when TV money comes in. He must realise that we cant afford to yo-yo back and forth between PL and Championship. We need to take advantage of the remaining 2years of the PL TV deal money as I suspect the next one might not be quite as lucrative for clubs outside top 6 teams as more pay per match viewing comes in.
Sky realise that the present deal is doing them no favours, so the next TV offer will probably will be in a different format. The sooner the better.
Yep this is all building up to an inevitable crash, maybe Mike Ashley has the soundest business mind of all and is merely planning for the post PL-money apocalypse Where us and Leeds are the only teams left
