i threw that out yesterday but no one bit. If , and its a huge if , we get Keita the fee is going to take some justifying to say the least even in todays market.
Lallana.... serious... you cannot replace creativity you can put lallana in a formation as a worker supporting the forwards won't be the same...
If we don't get Keita then Renato Sanches is a good shout for around £35m. If Coutinho goes then we should definitely demand in excess of £80m and Rafinha - simply because we can squeeze them as they're desperate.
That's the Barcelona propaganda #reality is they've ****ed their finances and if they don't get Coutinho on the cheap this window they probably can't afford him, especially if he impresses at the World Cup With a 5 year contract and no release clause Coutinho is going nowhere for less than a world record fee
With the money PSG are willing to spend on Neymar and Barcelona's interest in Coutinho. I don't get why either team isn't going after Dybala at Juventus. Much better player than both of them imo.
Never missed any game I wanted to see when I was 3500 miles away in Cape Verde. Come home and you can't get a link for 3pm kick offs.
Why are they so convinced that we're poverty-stricken? Or do they mean FSG would find it difficult to turn down that derisory sum?
FSG are interested in value. That doesn't mean cheap. They're prepared to put £100m+ into Mbappe because long term it represents value. £80m for Coutinho is anti-value and has no hope.
I do hope you're right, but as Sharpe points out, they rolled over with Suarez. Barca were bragging that they paid £65m, not £75m for Luis (sure it came out on Wikileaks that was true too), and there was rumours that WE paid the agents' fees. Different circumstances, but not FSG's finest hour. That said, they did get £50m for Torres (and that was cash too), with no agents fees AND - if I remember rightly - we made him put in a transfer request.
Suarez was a PR problem with another big ban on the cards and had previously been convinced to stay another year after FSG decided to simply pretend his release clause didn't actually exist. Nothing like Coutinho and nothing like the current market. Barcelona are also nothing like what they were back then too.
