According to reports Leo wants 5 in before the Villa game he didn't say that would be it as there will still be nearly 4 weeks after the villa game to get a few more in add henrickson, Evandro, myler, mason to that .. although it's been another ridiculous pre season we should end up with a very strong championship squad
If anyone things we have a chance of promotion this year your deluded. We where lucky to go up last time, the only reason was we kept the bulk of players and we had consistancy with Bruce. I'll be happy with if we stay up this year in all honesty.
For whatever reason, it went pear shaped for Villa last season– they spent big but shat **** – even Bruce couldn’t turn them around. Not sure what the problems are or were there, but is it a happy camp? They have some big name players and I'd imagine there are some hefty egos going along with their hefty wages. Hefty man. What is a definite is that there’s a tonne of pressure on Villa this season and if they don’t get off to a good start, I think Bruce will be gone by the winter. On opening day, in front of the live TV cameras, their players are going to feel the heat if they don’t get an early goal. And from what I’ve read about Slutsky, this seems to be the sort of game he relishes and does well in. I don’t think they’ll be much in it at all, with neither side scoring more than once. Bruce at City liked the 1-0 ethos too. If pushed, I’d fancy us to win it 1-0 with a game similar to the Benfica friendly.
Whenever I come on this thread and see it has moved on 7 or 8 pages since I was last on, I think ****ing hell we must have made a couple of decent signings and every bodies been talking , so fast forward through and it's just page after page of frustration
