    Heard on the new this morning that this pair are now in court again. Even to the most sensitive of souls and bleeding hearts it's beyond obvious that this whole circus is more about the parents than the boy.

    Poor wee chap, at least he's oblivious to the media maelstrom. Pardon me for being a cynic but all I can see is a "Sun Exclusive" or some such where the parents get to put "their side of the story" and pocket a few grand in the process. No amount of cash can make up for losing their wean though.

    Their latest ****ishness is to go to court to have the boy brought home to die. Ormond Street said no to that because the child will suffer unnecessarily.

    And yep, they'll have themselves plastered all over the tabloids.

    The ma was saying she'd front the cost of private healthcare so they could take the wean home to die, then recoup the money form the tax payer....

    ...whilst having £1.3million in a JustGiving account.

    The media focus appears to tarnish and forget the good work that Great Ormond Street do every single day for EVERY child! If death threats and the like have been aimed at anyone within GOS, then those people are completely off their ****ing rocker. This is not just about one child but the success and treatment of every child and the NHS cost implications in all that, unfortunately as much has we may wish it, reality is life is not a bottomless pit of cash and harsh and seemingly unjust decisions have to be made. Sadly reality is that we all die and not every life no matter how young can be saved, the best thing that can happen now is the 1.3 Million is donated to GOS unreservedly. Then the lawyers, judges, decision makers can reflect on this without the aid of public donated cash or the creation of any further foundations imho.

    I worked in Great Ormond Street Hospital as a medical engineer around 2003/4. People have a lot to be thankful to J.M. Barrie(great spelling, by the way <ok>) for.
