The Liverpool Echo expect Adam Phillips, currently on trial with our U23's, to sign a contract at Norwich soon.

It'll be interesting to see if that translates into him joining our first team squad, or if he stays with the U23's for a while.

Phillips will initially be with the U23 squad, but is expected to progress to the first team squad when fully fit, I assume this means when his back is deemed to be 100% recovered. We seem to make a habit of signing young Liverpool players in the last few years. None are still with us, hope that this signing is more successful.

Interesting comments from Farke out the need for some "emergency signings" to cover Klose and Pritchard's injuries, with Pinto and Wes short of match fitness too.

I don't think we're necessarily desperate for an attacking midfielder, but a CB/RB to cover and then replace Rusty wouldn't be the worst signing.

Sorry to interrupt but I'm looking for a bit of info on Leroy Fer when he played for you . general thoughts and what position did he play when he was with you in the Premier . 4 MOTM in a row speaks volumes for me

 

I always liked him. Thought he was a very decent player. I don't think he ever was a star player for us. We had other players who impressed more. I was sad when we lost him. Technically very good, could defend and attack. Had a good physique. I'd say he was probably bottom half to mid-table standard Premiership player.
