Yes but he hasn't refused to train with the squad. Well, it hasn't been reported as such. He's obviously told Pellegrino he wants to leave and he's told him to train alone. No refusal to train as far as I can see.

You'd think that but its not so straight forward. Can we afford to not play a top earner and a large asset, whilst trying to find and pay for someone else of his quality to play instead? It will be tough.

 

Not really. If no one wants him you have a player who isn't in the right mind to play for you which is really a useless player.

Not saying to come to Liverpool because this has been the worst handled transfer i can ever remember but plenty of teams will want him and you'll get a huge fee to reinvest.

Surely you have learnt by now? I don't really care about the players as there is no point getting attached to them, and the better our recruitment the longer it will keep happening. VVD and Bertrand this summer, probably Cedric and Romeu next year

He may go, but his price won't change just because he wants to. Seeing some of the ridiculous fee's for average players this window has increased his value if anything.

 

A year ago, I would have used several swear words, most of which begin with f or c. I think I've improved somewhat in showing restraint.

 

You might be right. No reason to think Les can't hold on for the fee he wants.
Also Tom has a point. If we don't sell him, then far worse relationship breakdowns than this have been patched up before.

 

It's not about learning anything. I care about Southampton FC and the way some players behave pisses me off. It's not about attachment, it's about being pissed off with the dispicable behaviour.

Just because we know it happens, doesn't make it acceptable.
