    My observations....

Ozil was really good and sharp

Cech saved our ass MANY times

Bielik - I like this guy. So calm with the ball. Did you guys see what he did with a tabletennis ball?

Lacazette - missed a great chance but he did the run and was alone against the keeper, just what we expect. Also some nice turns. Like how he has low center of gravity

KolaĊĦinac - I think he got sick (almost vomited on the pitch)

Elneny - not too bad as a CB (one time he almost did too much but expected)

Bayern is better than us. You feel they have another gear. In the first half they sliced us open several times.

    1-1, 93rd minute....Iwobi.

I reckon Iwobi will take another step this year.

Nice and thanks for the updates bobo <ok> It's hard to judge from a friendly but it seems we played well. Interesting to see Elneny as a CB, did that work overall?

Iwobi has been our best payer in PreSeason. Was a little disppointing last Season but this kid has soo much ability.

    Coquelin was worryingly poor again.

Na he's been invisible so pretty much his standard contribution - getting us ready for his mighty total of 3 goals next Season

I really think you need to get off the guy's back. He's 23 years old, has suffered many injuries and Wenger hasn't found a position for him to settle into yet.

In spite of all this, he was one of our better performers last season and made some vital contributions to our season. He did far more than most of the other players did.

He's clearly a talented guy and, with the right guidance, could be a star. He still has time on his side. Lay off him man.

Agreed. He's a grafter and very skilled. Okay his hasn't lit up his career at Arsenal yet, but he was very good last season and as you say, one of our better players.

Today he didnt play but in Australia I thought he did very well. The normal pre season performance by Ox. You notice him and your hopes raises and then the season starts....but I do think he took a step forward last year and going the right way. Unlike Walcott for example.

Is he ready to step up for us? Realistically we need a winger that will contribute at least 10+ goals and the same for assists.
Every player we've ever had some form of talent, but it needs to be translated onto the pitch ultimately. Playing 29 games with a return of 2 goals and 7 assists in the league last season isn't good enough, especially when you compare how much Sanchez contributed. It's lopsided and the others don't contribute enough either.

But Walcott had a couple season's where he made a large contribution. Oxo may have played well for his standards, but for what we need isn't good enough. Next season perhaps, but i'd rather go for a proven player like Lemar or Mahrez than waste any more time waiting. We've been waiting for so many players to take it to the next level that we've remained static in the league. The players who have done it were the ones that Wenger brought in later in their prime.
