This story isn't going to develop any more while HJ and co are in the States. There's no one at home to make decisions or sign off on anything. The Scouse press are still stirring things though http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/everton-transfer-rumours-blues-upset-13347405 but looking in the comments I think even the Everton fans are getting fed up with it all now.
Apparently Everton will not bid £50m for Gylfi. Could this be because Spurs won't pay 50m for Barkley?
I read the Bony thing is dependant on llorente leaving. By the way the window hasn't closed yet so plenty of time to bring some more **** youngsters from Scotland.
I would like him as well as llorente, but that's me being greedy, but why not if we can loan him, what wages though.
Not convinced I want this CB but another source recognising that we need to improve there and what we have isn't good enough. https://www.footballtransfertavern....der-signing-manchester-city-flop-for-swansea/
Can't see him going to the States as the entire trip was only 10 days, what would be the point? I wonder how he feels now that Everton seem to have been bullshitting him all along, £150k pw, my arse. He'll link up with the owners when the trip is done and we'll see what happens after that. I think Valley is right and Everton, Liverpools third club behind the Mighty Reds and Accrington Stanley, wont pay anywhere near the valuation the owners placed on Siggys head and I doubt they ever had any intention of doing so, so they tried to bully us instead. Everton have cocked this up completely firstly by placing a stupid valuation on a player with huge skill but lacking in professionalism and maturity. If I recall rightly it was Barkley throwing a tantrum when he mugged Everton off by refusing to re-sign for them which started this whole affair off. So Everton placed a stupid valuation of £50m in him and we respond by slapping an equally ludicrous valuation on the target Everton had mouthed off about 'taking' from us as a replacement for Barkley. They thought they'd get £50m for Barkley and we'd accept £30m for Siggy, the arseholes. Both valuations were over the top as far as the market was concerned but ours was proven to be more palatable than theirs. Evertons over valuation of Barkley attracted no, none, zero, nadda, zilch bids of any kind where as ours generated interest in Siggy from Spurs, Leicester, Liverpools 3rd club and the scouser press even though ours was set to put clubs off of Siggy. Thing is, while the Liverpool press and media have focused solely on Siggy, his not going to the states, his potential wage of £150k pw etc, none have mentioned the Elephant in Evertons changing the room and why Everton are in the ****. Currently they are stuck with Barkley, they can't sell him for the money they want and he continues to taunt them by not signing a new deal. Everton have to be worried as they could end up paying him for a year without much of a return and could see him leave for nothing next year. Everton are stuck until the Barkley situation is sorted one way, he signs, or another he's sold. Until either scenario is realised they are not in a position to buy any player, Viera or Siggy included. Anyway, who cares about them, they've embarrassed themselves and the only stat that counts is: Toffees nil, Taffies won
If he wants to cone back surely he'll waiver a part of his wages? Plus we've freed up Gomis and Bastons wages too.
