Keep bidding I say. If we get him, great, but chances are he really wants to go to Everton and drive the price up for them
This threads not about Liverpool, mate. I was simply answering the question. I honestly think you'll just scrape through without getting relegated. You have a better chance of getting relegated than finishing top 8 imo. Some people saying top 8, top 6, or even top 4 Have a word with yourselves lads, ffs!
So given your incredible footy nouse can you educate us and explain who you think will finish above us,as far as sixth place and also give us your reasons ? You obviously think we are in for a worse season than last ? I think last season was dreadful in the league but we still made 12th place and only 2 points behind 8th so I don't really see your logic..... but wait it's probably the same logic that said you would win the title last season
and if you're really honest Sky your lot massively underachieved yet again and didn't have any more success than us ! You won fook all....... again and just scraped into the UCL in fact given the difference of our two clubs stature I'd say LCFC had as good or an even better season than LFC ?
I´d love City to win a cup again whether it be the lge cup or the FA cup won´t matter to me. With my hopes of a top 10 finish of course.
Aim should be top 8 for you lot. Top 4 ain't happening Reckon you'll be 8th - 10th. Hard to call for all the teams who finished between 8th and 17th last season imo.
I don't see anyone breaking that top 7 again next season to be honest. Looking at you, us (hopefully), West Ham etc. for best of rest imo. Like I say though, very hard to call for most teams who finished 8th to 17th last year. Was only a gap of 6 points iirc.
Yep, it was a two section league last season. Anyone from 8th down could have been sucked into the relegation battle with 5 games to go, at least 2 of the relegated teams could have avoided it with a bit of luck.
I'm still undecided, I still think he'll be happy to stay at Swansea and isn't bothered about leaving but with bids going in he knows he's going if a bid is accepted so that can't be easy. It doesn't necessarily mean his head is turned. I also don't think Everton are all that serious judging by their bids, we outbid them and then they matched our bid. What's that all about? I think people just expect them to pay it because they have the Lukaku money but we spent more on Slimani than they did on Lukaku. So we've already spent more than them on a player and £50m will be just as massive for them as it will be for us. We can also afford it just as much, if not more so than them because we have more money, hence why we're above them in the rich list. We got about £75m from the CL so while Everton can use the Lukaku money, we can use that. I also think we can convince him to join us, as soon as he hears our long term plan and gets more money than Everton will offer him, I think we can sway it. He'll be guaranteed to play here too but won't at Everton because they've just spent £24m on a similar player and still have Barkley, who nobody will pay £50m for. I don't see anything special about Everton at all.
We'll finish above Everton so 7th at the lowest. Spurs at Wembley will struggle, might be losing Dier too who although crap, allows them to play certain formations so he's important. They don't have a squad capable of competing on all fronts either and a much bigger home pitch will take its toll. Liverpool also don't have a squad capable of competing in the CL and PL and they're also inconsistent. Everton, Southampton, WBA etc pfft.
I'm not an accountant but I'm pretty sure just because income falls in to one bucket doesn't mean it sits there and can be used for something similar going out the other way. I love my club but am not naïve enough to think we are better proposition than Everton. Bigger club bigger stadium. Happy to be wrong but very much doubt he will come to us. Out of interest in a later post you say Spurs will struggle on a pitch the size of Wembley. Hull have a bigger pitch and Spurs had no problems winning 1-7
