Basing this on what has been done soo far. I would do this if I was Wenger...

Van Dijk - Would be perfect for us. Big, quick and has good enough technique to fit our side. Ideal replacement/upgrade for big Merts.
William Carvalho - Good all rounder. Would add power and pace to the side and complement Xhaka quite well IMO. Hopefully Carzorla will come back because Xhaka, Carvalho, Ramsey and Carzorla would be a good variety of options.
Thomas Lemar - Has pace, scores goals and has a great range of passing.
Lacazette (done) - will give us goals and give us alot more threat on the counter.
Kolasinac (done) - Gone under the radar a bit this one. Powerful, aggressive and versatile. Best LB in the Bundesliga last year.

OUT: Szcezney, Perez, Campbell, Gibbs, Debuchy, Jenkinson, Chamberlain.

    ------------------------------Cech--------------------------------
    -----------Holding------VanDijk------Koscielny------------
    Lem/Bell---------Carvalho--------Xhaka---------Kolasinac
    -------Lem/Ozil-----------Lacazette---------Sanchez---------

Bench: Giroud, Mustafi, Bellerin, Ramsey/Carzorla, Wellbeck, Opsina (keep him).

That's a side with good balance. We have brought in some smaller attacking players and I think Carvalho/Kolasinac and VanDijk would allow us to match any sides physically as well as technically.

I think we are only after one more signing, I guess that could change depending on the outgoings, but we seem to be only after one more attacker which could be either Lemar or Mahrez.

I think we will get more, because I do not think we will keep all our players who are entering the final year of their contracts. (Chamberlain looking like he will go)

Don't think I've seen anything to suggest Ox will go. In fact I think he's one of the more certain players to stay <ok>

Most of the time it is. Sanchez is probably a bit of both. Let's be honest, he is significantly better than every attacking player we have barring Ozil. We have good forwards but they aren't in the same league as Sanchez. Ozil sums it up with "It would hit the team quite hard if he left because he is a player who always delivers". None of our other forward players do.

But i have a good feeling about Lacazette and whoever comes in next. We've been in desperate need of better forwards and this will hopefully solve the problem, as well as make Sanchez stay.

Is he really a big miss should he leave? So far he has shown potential but hasn't delivered at a consistently high level to play for a top club like ours. Will he do it? Who knows. But Wenger hasn't got much time left and in my opinion, hasn't got years to play with waiting for Oxo to turn into a world beater.

Good player but the jury is out on him.

Rumours out there that Arsenal have offered Chamberlain to Chelsea in exchange for Matic.

Personally would love this. The DM position is the one where we really lack any real quality.

I wouldn't. Ox would excel at Chelsea under Conte's management and have to be honest. I'm not a big fan of Matic. He's a good, solid player, but he's very cumbersome and his distribution is average at best. We have enough slow central midfielders as it is. It absolutely wouldn't be a fair swap at all and they'd be getting the better end of the deal. I'd want someone a little bit more dynamic. Someone in the Wanyama mould would be ideal. Strength, power and physicality in the middle of the park is what we need IMO.

In my opinion - we were forced into a 3-4-3 because we had no midfielders who could defend. Time and time again our back for gets exposed when Xhaka etc.. drift out of position. Coquelin had arguably his worst Season, Xhaka and Ramsey both suffer from a total lack of positional discipline.

I think a good old fashioned holding player would be a welcome addition to the side. He's 6'4, strong, disciplined and a massive upgrade on Coquelin. (he also has experience of wining the EPL)

You make some valid points and I agree with a lot of your analysis here, where I differ is on what type of player we should have. Matic isn't the right one, in my opinion. I'd prefer to have someone who is a little bit more mobile and will help speed up our passing game as well as intercepting and breaking up play. It provides us with more flexibility if we want to change tactics as well. As for Coquelin, he struggled a lot last season because Wenger tried to convert him into a box-to-box style midfielder when that isn't his natural game.

It all seems futile now anyway as Matic looks to be set to join Man United.

Wenger confirms that we've not made a bid for Mbappe and he'll be staying with Monaco.

But when asked about the latest rumours of a world-record offer from Arsenal, Wenger replied: ‘That’s not true as well. People have a big imagination.

‘What we know now with Mbappe it’s over £100m, after [that amount] it’s free to imagine what you want, but we’ve not made any offer.’

But when it was put to Wenger that the 18-year-old is likely to stay with the Ligue 1 champions for another year, the Arsenal manager replied: ‘Yes, it looks like that.

‘Too much choice, maybe. So in the end, people don’t move.’

Despite Everton rumours, Arsene Wenger wants to keep Olivier Giroud.

The express claiming we are after Moussa Dembele and Van Dijk.

Have to be honest would love both of these guys at Arsenal.

Dembele is only 21. 6'0 and quick - scored 32 goals last Season. Cant see him coming in unless Sanchez is leaving though.

Van Dijk Would be the ideal partner for Koscielney/Mustafi. I hope we go after this guy regardless of what happens with outgoings.

    Gazidis etc.. are ****ing Clueless.

How is Sczezney only worth £10m when Jordon Pickford goes for £30m?

This Club is run by morons.

Is he in the last year of his contract? If so, how have you let another player run down to 12 months? If not, selling Juve the replacement for Buffon for £10m is puzzling at best.

Just pleased he's off the books to be honest. £10m isn't a great fee. Would have thought more like £15m-£20m

Perhaps but he's in the last year of his contract. Writing that makes it seem very familiar. Where have I heard that before?

Yeah we've been **** on that front. Something that the club definitely need to address.
