We played a lot of youngsters in the first half, we had the lions share of the chances. Second half Roque came on..i know its a friendly but the guy looks class. A more physical Leon, but dare I say it ...more skilful Its a friendly so put your face slaps aside for now
Looks like its caoi adios to Gylfi as he pulls out of the US tour. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/...verton-target-gylfi-sigurdsson-pulls-13324615 Been good while it lasted though
It is only a friendly, if we had a lot of chances like you say, we obviously need a striker there, did Abraham have any time.
You won't get £50m there'll be some smoke and mirrors around the fee and add ons, same as there was when we bought Williams last summer.
To be honest mate, I would sell him to anyone other than Everton as it stands, no offence, the way they have done this without putting in an official offer for ages stinks a bit to me, but if he does go to you then good luck to him, I do wonder where he will fit in with you with all the signings you have made. But I suppose the 135,000 a week is more important than playing every week.
The modern game mate, all of these moves are orchestrated by agents speaking to clubs before a formal offer has been made. Lukaku spent half the summer talking about his 'agreement' to join another club (which was Chelsea btw) and they'd not even enquired about him at that point. He'd defo play at Goodison, probably on the left of an advanced 3 in midfield would be my guess. We've been chasing him since the last window when we did make a bid I'm told, so Koeman and Walsh obviously desperately want this lad. Daft money like, but when you're talking about £25m for Arnautovic then that shows just how barmy the current market is.
My main concern is Swansea not Gylfi. With the ongoing saga and our injuries our preseason preparations are being disrupted. The sooner the Gylfi saga is over the best for everybody. I hope we have a replacement lined up and another striker so we don't get a poor start to the season which wont do us any good at all.;
What art (sic) of negotiation, and the player obviously now wanting to leave don't you understand mate?
Our price for Lukaku was £100m but we didn't get it. We got £75m plus £15m in add ons, and then they spun Rooney's release to us as being the missing £10m. You won't get £50m.
Blame the modern game and agents. It's standard in the industry for clubs to make offers via agents, I don't like it either, but it is what it is. You either play the game or lose out.
You are both right which sums up the whole stinking business that the game I have loved and followed for over 50 years has become. I won't go on about society as a whole which is also sinking in to the same selfish morass.
