We have a good midfiled and attack, we proved we can score already.

DEFENCE IS SHOCKING... surely there are better players still available that are not injury prone.

I would love Scott Dann to be our target

I'd go Liam Ridgewell but I agree with the sentiment.

It's my old mate Simon Johnson. His job is to write bollocks for a living.

QPR eye Patrick Van Aanholt loan move
    Simon Johnson

Queens Park Rangers manager Neil Warnock is interested in taking Chelsea's rising star Patrick van Aanholt on loan, writes Simon Johnson.

The 20-year-old left-back has made just four appearances for Chelsea since he was signed from PSV Eindhoven in 2007, but impressed during loan spells at Newcastle, Coventry and Leicester in the past two seasons.

Rangers have already been linked with another of Chelsea's young left-backs, Ryan Bertrand, but Warnock would prefer the Holland Under-21 international.

It is still unclear what Chelsea plan to do with Van Aanholt (above) this season because they have a lack of cover for first choice Ashley Cole, having sold Yury Zhirkov to Anzhi Makhachkala earlier this month.

Van Aanholt is highly rated by new manager Andre Villas-Boas, but he may want to add more experience to his squad and has been linked with Porto's Alvaro Pereira.

Meanwhile, QPR's Kieron Dyer is set to return in 10 days after picking up a foot injury in the 4-0 defeat to Bolton.
