It has been reported that Burnley are after him, as a replacement for Keane.

Can't help smiling at the thought.
A bit of a comedown for yet another one who seems to feel he deserves to be playing for the very best.

The comment about his doing the bare minimum last Season was spot on.
Had he done more, perhaps it would have been him, rather than Keane, who went to Everton.
However I can't imagine that his ego will entertain such thoughts.

Despite my negativity I still rated him as our best defender last season, (out of a poor selection), and would love to see him playing for a move to a top club. In the Ch/sp he COULD look spectacular.
But I aint holding my breath.

Have a feeling he will be sold before the season starts which could be good for team morale if we can get a solid defender in to replace

If he goes, he goes. If no one comes in for him you'd hope it would be wake up call that he's not as good as he thinks he is and maybe he'll start putting some effort in.

I wouldn't accept anything less than £15m if it's Burnley, they've just got £28m for Keane so should be taking their eyes out for his replacement.

Get rid though, I'd even drop the price by £3m if they take Djibobobobobdji with him, he's the worst centre half I've seen since Alan Stubbs.

On his day he's a fantastic defender but the blokes been angling for a move away for the last year, happy to sit on his inflated wage and put **** all effort in. If Burnley want him we should be sending the lazy **** packing, if we get 5 to 10 mil for him that'll do and we can get a defender that wants to come and give their all for this club with the money.

Thanks Nads, I'd forgotten he refused to play last season. Unforgivable from a supposed professional player who I now agree needs to be sold as soon as possible.

Just as with Lens, we need to move on, get the best price we can and re-invest in hungrier players, too many rich fat cats at the SoL has been our downfall. The players in question are undoubtedly talented but without motivation. Time for change, and I think/hope its coming. Away the lads.

He's got ability and looked a beast when you first got him (and he was trying to impress). Seems to have a similar sporting mentality to Sissoko, hopefully you can get the same outcome.

Learnt a few things about Americans last night. Don't know what egg cups are and there's no such thing as electric kettles. You boil on hobs like it's the seventeen hundreds. Strange.

West brom are after him too so hopefully a bidding war can get that fee up to around the 10m mark.

The obvious choice, from those two would be West Brom where Tony Pulis doesn't do relegations.
But then Tony doesn't much take to 'Prima Dona's' either.

Quite honestly wherever he goes he will need to show a much better attitude than he has at SAFC.
Something closer to the performances he put on for SAM will need to be the norm if he wants to stay in The Prem.

Don't care if he succeeds or fails once he leaves, so long as he leaves.

I'd prefer that he stayed and put a shift in, but that's just me wanting a perfect World.

What really p155es me off is players who have talent by the bucketful but who just can't be arsed to put the work in.

They get a lifestyle that most of us can only dream about but they seem to feel that they deserve this just for doing us the favour of appearing for our club.
Their goal celebrations, (if they ever score), their tattoo's and their haircuts seem to be their focus when they get out of their limo's

Pampered prats who waste their talent.:emoticon-0130-devil

The only thing sadder is silly barstewards like me who are prepared to help pay them.

Apparently Americans generally still boil water with a stove kettle.

I now know Pudding is just thick custard in the US too. Always wondered exactly what it was.
