    St Johnstone joined Rangers in exiting the first qualifying round of the Europa League, beaten by 10-man Trakai in Lithuania.

    <laugh>

    Should they stick to wearing skirts and blowing pipes?

    Yes they should, plus drinking special brew.

    That Rangers defeat must be the most embarrasing exit from Europe by a British team ever.

    They finished 4th in the Luxembourg league ffs <doh>

    They had lost every (13) game they had ever played in Europe before last night and had only scored 1 goal before too <laugh>

    They should put Rangers in the women's league. Would be a right laugh and I reckon they'd get hammered.

    Celtic are a Championship quality side and they won everything going up there. Proper ****e league.

    Probably the least competitive league in Europe?

    Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha described his team's humiliating Europa League humbling at the hands of Progres Niederkorn as something that happens "once in a lifetime". Unfortunately for Scottish clubs, that is not strictly true. When it comes to Scottish clubs being embarrassed in Europe, Rangers are by no means alone.

    It's odd. There was a period of time when Scotland produced some of Britain's best footballers.

    Now they're pish and have been for a long time.
