family guy season 1&2 were quite funny, the rest not, American dad is funny now and again, but the simpsons has been funny for over 20 years. The funniest cartoon though is itchy and scratchy.

I'm a huge Simpsons fan, I've got every single episode. But the general standards of the last 5 seasons (including the movie and onwards) have been pretty poor. At their best, The Simpsons are much more than a comedy, it's not even a parody of American reality, it often is American reality.

But as I've grown up, Family Guy tends to be funnier these days, generally because it's more adult humour.

I've never really seen South Park. Criminal I know. Although I did see a South Park movie when the boys parents launch war with Canada over some film T'was hilarous.

    Family Guy <ok>

Simpsons used to be excellent. Shame.

South Park. It's ok sometimes, other times just annoying.

    Futurama. Can be entertaining sometimes.

    American Dad. ****e.

Family Guy for me is the best. Although like the Simpsons it is starting to decline in quality. Far too many cutaway gags on the new ones.

Simpsons will always be legendary but the new ones are bordering on unwatchable. Might be time to end it I'm afraid.

South Park flatters to deceive for me. Sometimes it's very funny, but then other times it's pretty dull and annoying. Same with Futurama.

Got to love them all. Mid era Simpsons (when the characters had become established and the animation was half decent) were sublime. Now it tends to be parodies and pastiche.

South Park tore up the rule book but the last few series haven't hit the mark although having said that the introduction of Timmy tickled my pickle.

I'm a late comer to Family Guy, what on earth have I been wasting my time watching all these years?!! F.G. has to be the funniest show on TV by a mile and not just cartoon shows either. Every episode has something devious buried in it and even if the plot isn't up to usual levels there always seems to be a line or moment that makes me shake like I've got Parkinsons. Best episode was the return of Christ with Peter Griffin dancing to Surfin Bird, my face hurt at the end!

I'd do Meg too, and she can leave her hat on.

The first 6 or 7 seasons of the Simpsons were at times genius, genuinely hilarious but then they hired new writers and since then (The Movie apart) it has been cack.

Family guy started off slowly and is now far superior in every way to the Simpsons. South Park on occasion can be brilliant but it's hit and miss.

There is no doubt that the simpsons episodes(earlier one's) were made with such great jokes, very cleverly done jokewise, family guy though as taken it to another level by copying a lot of stuff from the simpsons and making fun of current events and past one's,south park is just so random that its funny.
