So in case it hasn't been posted apparently we're still saying that Tymon is under contract to us until 2018, because we extended it in 2016, and we want £2million for him
Tymon is saying he wrote to the club saying he didn't want his contract extending then
The club is saying (probably) that they've had a jolly good look round, even under the doormat, but definitely can't find a letter from him.

Surely even if Tymon sent a letter saying he didn't want a contract extension it wouldn't negate what was written into the original contract? That's obviously assuming that the initial contract gave the club the full right to extend no matter what the wishes were of the player, as surely that is the way that the original contract was written for, what was back then, a mere junior player.

I'm not very up on his contract situation, but that's what I assumed too
Didn't we do the same to senior pros and just email them tellling they'd been extended?

Tymon leaves the club with immeadiate effect. That doesn't sound amicable

Turns out Ehab didn't know Tymon could reject the automatic extension of his contract. <laugh>

Doesn't mention that there's been no offer since September, or what the offer was (no doubt if it was high enough, he'd have given the details)

Josh Tymon has turned down a professional contract with the Tigers and has chosen to cancel his scholarship contract, which was due to expire in June 2018. He will leave the Club with immediate effect. This is a standard clause in all contracts for this age level and the Club has no option but to reluctantly accept his request. When Josh joins another club, a fee will have to be agreed between the two clubs.

Vice-Chairman Ehab Allam said: "The Club is naturally disappointed to lose a home-grown product of its Academy. We have met with Josh and his representatives on numerous occasions starting back in January 2016 with improved offers of a professional contract. I want to make clear that we have made offers significantly higher than the figures circulated by some media sources.

"The Club has played a significant role in Josh's development as a player who joined us at the age of 12 and has risen through our ranks to play for England at U17, U18 and U20 level and in the Premier League. I believe he will one day be a full England international and I take pride in the work the Club has done to make that possible. This also makes it even more difficult to take having invested so heavily in his development through the excellent Academy set-up we have. We had hoped that Josh would remain with us to realise his potential.

"As stated by Leonid in his press conference today, we are working very hard to bring new players into the Club with news hopefully by the end of the week. This process can take time and as much as we would like all business completed immediately, some deals take longer due to the complex nature of the transfer window. New additions will be made to the squad to help towards our aim of a return to the Premier League.

"We wish Josh well for the future."

Wish him well but a totally pointless move to play for Stoke reserves.

Ehab might as well have said 'Yet again, another example of me knowing absolutely nothing about football'

Leeds reckon or are hoping they will get around £5m for Taylor,
With Tymon not having the amount of games played as Taylor but being younger and having played at a higher standard could we be hoping for more?

That club statement is best read in a whiny complaining voice, the one you imagine Happy Tiger uses when he posts on here about how misunderstood he is.

We'll get about £80k. As he never signed a pro deal he goes under the EPPP.

Taylor's 23 and a first team player, they'll definitely get a lot more for him than we'll get for Tymon, but it's unlikely to be £5m (£3m more likely).

Cue the responses. Tymon was ****e anyway, he'll never make the grade, greedy bastard, he'll be in their reserves etc etc. when the only factually correct observation is he won't be playing for us.

    Yes it's a Hull trait isn't it.
Other teams supporters appreciate former players . Whereas sections of ours decry them.

We get £12500 for every year he spent in the cat 3 academy and £25000 for every year he spent in cat 2. First team appearances don't affect the EPPP I don't think.
