https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....ews-manchester-city-bayern-munich-target/amp/ Chilean journalist claims Sanchez is staying with Arsenal even if he doesn't sign a new deal.
Yep. I'm wondering if Sanchez is 'doing an RVP' and waiting to see if Wenger adds quality to the side before deciding to stay on. Lacazette and Mahrez could be enough IMO.
Dont know much about Martins but Carvalho could be an nice addition. Would give us power in the middle of the pitch and decent midfield options. -------------------Holding/Gab-------Kosc/BFG-------Mustafi/Mon-------------------- Bellerin/Mahrez------Carzorla/Rams----Xhaka/Carvalho----------Kolasinac/Mon -----------------Ozil/Mahrez--------Giroud/Lacazette--------Sanchez-----------------
Lacazette is having a medical ahead of a £45m (plus add-ons) move. All I can say is: I hope he's ****
I can imagine you trembling while typing that out The big question is how good and how many goals he'll bang in. We still have a couple of issues to resolve and if one of those is retaining Sanchez, then i can see him scoring at least over 15/20 goals in the league. If everything clicks, then over 20.
If he's Sanchez replacement I don't care if he's not ****. Sanchez goes and Arsenal struggle next season and the one after. Coming in from France means he'll need time to adapt no matter what. I'm a bit more worried about the rumoured Portuguese player, Carvalho. He would improve a very weak area. The way Dembele and Wanyama terrified Arsenal's midfield was actually a little bit sad. Very funny but just a little bit sad.
"Holiday is over and I'm back at @Arsenaltraining ground with fully charged batteries please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image #YaGunnersYa #training#London" Tweet from Ozil. I get the feeling he will sign a new contract.
I honestly think he'll bang in 20-30 next Season. 26 years old - he's just coming into his prime as a centreforward. He's not the biggest but he is robust and has good balance.
I also have "good balance" and I'm **** Jokes aside, what has always impressed me about him is that he exudes that arrogant confidence that is an essential quality in top, top strikers. The kind that Janssen lacks but Kane radiates. The kind that says 'I couldn't give a damn if I missed a sitter. Give me the ball and I'll score a volley from 30 yards". He certainly has the pace, strength and close control to make it in the PL. Also has a ferocious shot. The one obstacle many foreign players seem to come up against here is the speed and intensity of the game. You need to think fast to operate as a PL striker. If his reading of the game is up to scratch, he'll sadly rip it to shreds.
He better score more than 20.....Walcott scored 20 goals for us! And so did Giroud most years (I think)....
Giroud only scored more than 20 two out of the four Seasons he's been at Arsenal. Doesn't have a bad record - its just not quite good enough. I think Lacazette will be an improvement for sure. I like the fact will have a smaller, quick, lethal finisher and a target man who can hold the ball up and cause problems in the air. Gives us good options.
Riyad Mahrez to Arsenal: Talks positive and ongoing, Gunners close - Tancredi Palmeri http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...nners-Close-Leicester-Transfer-News-Gossip#t= The video is pretty good when the journo is grilling Wenger over Mahrez. Not sure whether Wenger is interested or not as he's got a good poker face, but he did laugh a few times. Looks like Richard "Would you smash it" Keys has also mentioned our interest in Mahrez.
If we sign Mahrez and keep Sanchez rather than Mahrez being the Sanchez replacement then we have incredible forward options... Sanchez, Lacazette, Ozil, Mahrez, Giroud, Walcott, Welbeck, Perez. I expect one or two of those to move on though.
Totally agree and it'll be the closest we'll get to the quality of the invincibles lineup. I am quite confident that Sanchez will stay, providing an agreement hasn't already been done. A front three of Lacazette, Sanchez and Mahrez will be extremely dangerous and would make us real challengers. The problem we have now is not all our front three contribute, but these guys would all score and assist on a more regular basis. At the moment we are too reliant on Sanchez.
