Got out played by a very hard working Leeds side. They were the better team on the night. Quote of the night comes from a Leeds fan (client) who I was sat with. "You can't have very much depth if you need to have Adebola and Barmby on the bench" Unfortunately I have to agree with him...
What did you think of Lonegran? Had a few front row seats to some top class saves. Leicester try to tell us Schmeichel is better but we know otherwise.
Am I missing something? Im not a "all is rosey" type but I genuinley thought we were by far the better team. At 1-1 it was so one sided for 20 minutes it was embarrassing and if Gulacsi hadnt chucked one in his net I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever we'd have gone on to win.
Doesnt that say it all? The save from McClean's header - who was excellent btw - was genuine top drawer.
To me the difference was the goalies. The stats seemed to imply we had more attempts and loads more corners.
It's all ifs and buts though, isn't it? We've just got to take the result with a pinch of salt. From the radio commentary their keeper made some good saves, so we're testing keepers and opening up defences. That's good. We've just got to be more clinical. What worries me as you say is the keeper had a mare. And the defence isn't coping very well. Infact they tested the back 4 with almost everything they produced. And now we have injuries to key players- Cairney and Brady. Still shouldn't take anything from Leeds on their victory.
Agree with that statement. Pains me to say it but well done Leeds, hopefully we can pick ourselves up from this one. Tiger Nation is hurting tonight.
Fair play to Leeds they were stronger and quicker all over the park today. I'm suffering keeper envy at the mo! Lonegran was top top quality unlike the 'boy' we've got! Men against boys tonight they're still learning and we have to be patient. I think this season inconsistency is going to be the post match interview word we've got to get used to! Onwards and mid table (hopefully) UTT
I didn't think your keeper was bad at all made a good reflex save for the first goal but nothing he could do about the rebound. Maybe from the view of a goalkeeper as I am myself he should of got a bit more power behind the save to prevent it going to a Leeds player but as a reflex save you're more bothered about getting anything to it. To the ones that said Hull were the better team. Sorry but you weren't. You had a good period after your first goal but once we hit back we dominated the rest of the game until we sat back a bit in the 80th minute and hit you on the counter. But it could of easily been 5 if Clayton hadn't took his time one on one with the keeper and a man on.
Also, you've seen a bit of Snoddy ain't you. Wasn't his best today with recently coming back from injury but that's twice you've seen his free kicks :L.
Probably yeah, just as your player knocked the ball out and he gave a corner :L Snoddy actually began to walk away but when the ref said corner his face was a picture, utter disbelief. I don't think he particularly likes you lot either after you all chucked coins at him at the KC>
Had our goalie been in the right position he may not have done.everyone around me knew he was in the wrong place , only he obviously didnt know that. obvious he was gonna put it where he did and score.
I know its early in the season, and im normally forever optimistic but tonight im feeling very unsure about our season.. I was saying to a friend after the blackpool game how I could see the fans turning on Adebola quite quickly without giving him time to see how talented he is at holding the ball up. But tonight I was really hit with how little pace and agility he has.. It looked like he should have been playing seniors football not professional! If this is the type of player we are brining in for a supposed premier league push then I worry.
It says a lot when many of the Leeds reports, blogs and message boards give the man of the match to Lonergan. No way did we deserve to win but the score line does flatter Leeds somewhat.
