I think Grayson will do ok with the parameters he has to work in, anything more will be seen as a bonus. I will support the guy 100%, as I have with all managers. He has come to the club knowing the situation (Short trying to sell). Lets see what he and his team can do before we write him off
No it's pretty ropey, not the friendliest people. I never warmed to the place and I haven't got a clue how the team is doing.
I'm optimistic mate. I wasn't expecting anything dramatic with this appointment. When we got in Wilkinson and Cotterill I was expecting a big name and exciting manager. On that basis the Wilkinson appointment was 100 times worse.
Not sure why but I think I was expecting someone with top level experience. I'm forgetting we aren't top level any more!
It was you! You did say something along the lines of living over there. We all thought it. Typical thick yank.
From the position we are in financially and as a team I think it's a reasonable appointment. It's not like they were queuing up for the post and just looking at our recent history it's certainly not a position that stands out. Hopefully SG will make a name for himself here, good luck to the fella, he knows what he is getting himself into as our financial worries have been well documented.
I wonder if the potential takeover has put off people like McInnes and Monk! Monk went to Middlesbrough - when a manager is choosing them over us then there has to be something seriously wrong with our club IMO! I'll get right behind Grayson. Not exactly a next level appointment but he'll have my full support
True that. It`s no secret we`re an absolute mess. I`m beginning to warm to this appointment and I`ve no idea why.
Like pissing in your pants when youre leathered. Feels good at the time but there's regret on the way!
I'd say it's more like pissing in your trunks when out for a swim in the North Sea/Baltic. Absolutely acceptable and necessary under the circumstances, if you want to keep swimming. Even though we'd much rather be swimming in the Med, ideally surrounded by hot, scantily clad chicks .
Pissing into a diving suit would be even better I can't think of a single good reason to swim in the Baltic mate. You should've turned right at Dover Nordic, not left.
I'm feeling a lot more secure about our future with Grayson than I would with Klinsmann. If it was true that he was lined up for after the takeover then I reckon we've dodged a bullet.
