To misquote an old Not the Nine O'Clock News joke, "today President Trump was shot through the head, missing his brain by three feet".

I'm incensed after watching that. These people are sub-human.

Not sure whether the imminent collapse of the peace process belongs in here or in the No **** Sherlock thread...?

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...p-devolution-breakthrough-edwin-a7814551.html

Because theres no way a majority republican executive will accept direct rule from Westminster while its held in place by a minority of nationalists <doh>

And meanwhile parade season is in full swing with effigies of Catholics wearing Celtic jerseys hanging from bonfires.

Killer of Jo Cox, Thomas Mair, had a history of attending Britain First rallies
Finsbury Park attacker Darren Osborne followed Britain First leaders Paul Golding and Jayda Fransen on Twitter
Beckton acid attack suspect John Tomlin has a history of sharing extreme right content on Facebook

But go ahead, Daily Mail, say it's the Left who are "real purveyors of hatred"

So the bloke who lied about Grenfell Tower residents refusing a sprinkler system has resigned

The fact he wasn't dragged out of office by the short & curlies two weeks ago for trying to blame the residents for the council's appalling negligence beggars belief

  8. "When leaders are bullies, it's an implicit license to others - sexual harassers, white supremacists, Islamophobes - to spread their hate," tweeted Democratic congresswoman Barbara Lee.

Trump is openly a bully, we all know that well enough by now - but equally so the likes of Putin and to a lesser extent members of our own government and opposition. It's endemic!!

That's what is so frightening for the future...... <yikes>

I'm convinced that Nick Paget-Brown was out of the country for at least a week, considering he wasn't sunburned when lying to the press a couple of weeks ago - but was very clearly sunburned when he was suddenly in front of the cameras again in the past couple of days.

That low 30s UK heatwave the other day has certainly done for him.
Or was he using an aluminium sunlight reflector rather than a silvered
    cardboard one ??

There's certainly a week-long gap between the 22nd and 28th where he disappeared from view - and, by complete coincidence, the previous sighting was on the 21st when he issued a statement following Sajid Javid throwing the council CEO to the wolves while Paget-Brown kept his job.

Does this count as a leadership challenge?

I might not agree with Davidson about much, but she's got decent taste in women.
She's taking a lot of flak for posting this and I can understand why.
Sending virtually everyone into a meltdown is quite funny though, so I'll give her a pass! <laugh>

Is it a **** you to the DUP? Is it just a phwoar post? Is it acceptable for a political leader? No idea. Nice picture, though.

The women must be utterly brainless if she actually posted that **** on the net.

Even the Tories will excommunicate her for that!

    They're "investigating" it.

What exactly needs to be investigated here?
"Rose, is this your Facebook feed?
    "...yes."
    "Did you post this comment?"
    "...yes."
"Our investigation is complete. By the way, there's a job opening in Kensington & Chelsea if you want it."

She's been suspended. I'm sure they'll boot her out, so I'm surprised that they didn't just do it immediately.
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lancashire-40446680

"Speaking before the suspension was confirmed, Ms Carroll said she had meant to delete the post but ended up publishing it by mistake."
Yeah, good luck with that ridiculous excuse. There are two obvious problems with it, though.
The first is that you didn't just go back and delete it, as soon as you realised you posted it.
The second is that you still typed it up and thought it was funny.
