I am looking at getting a new shirt and I am of the school that you get a players name on the back rather than my own (not that i think it is a bad thing, great birthday present). My problem this year is I am not sure I want any of their names on my back. I am finding hard to find a stand out player, which might not be a bad thing for the team. Just was wondering if people are getting players names who they are going for? I am considering Luongo, but it does not feel me with much excitement.
Assuming that you're a certain vintage Tim (ie not a school kid) then names on shirts is a no-no.......
Well I am not in School but wouldn't consider myself 'vintage'. That is an option, but in the past i have always felt they look a little unfinished. what about a number but no name?
Get the home shirt and ask them to put Number 1 and Smithies on the shirt, he's about the only worthy one.....
Got to be number 10. I'd swerve the name, Tim - given the changing cast of thousands the only person you can rely on being here in 12 months time is probably Mackie. He'll never leave - stuck in purgatory for ever!
Last one I had a name and number on was Rowlands 14. Still one of my favourite shirts. If you find a player you like and can identify with that mean something to you then go for it. Right now I see only three players worthy of getting their name on my shirt. 2 Freeman - Cool name and lively player to watch. 15 Wzolek - Hard working player with skill, and an added bonus is that no one are able to pronounce or know what's on your back. 41 - Exciting talent and the closest we've been in a long time to the next big thing. And there's always Mackie. We all live in a Mackie wonderland
I'd simply have 'STAN' with the number 10, we're unlikely to have anyone of his class in the foreseeable future...
You should get Gladwin on the back, not many of those about and will rise in value for being so rare.
I usually get "BACK" written. It makes it easier to not put it on back to front (especially when the bloody hoops go all the way around)!
