What does 'best supported' even mean though? You could have the most fans in the world, but 50% may never have been to a match. You could have the least fans in the world, but 100% of them have been to a match. Whose supporters are therefore 'best'? Liverpool may be the 'most widely supported', with more supporters' clubs (according to wiki, at least.) United have the most fans (more fans than Liverpool, but less widespread.)
Man United may have more ''fans'' but Liverpool have more supporters. The difference between fans and supporters is simple. ''Fans'' follow a trend, its a well known fact that between 2005-2007, the number of Man United fans decreased as they swapped allegiance to Chelsea and in 2007, switched back again, they however in 2004 were Arsenal fans. This is known as a trend or what is known as a fad, they disappear like rats from a sinking ship as soon as the success drys up. Supporters on the otherhand show something called loyalty. Lets see how much support Man United have when their eventual demise occurs when Baconface retires. As said once in the choose Man United video. Choose to change the club you support every 10 years. Choose self deception and delusion. Choose Scum. Choose Man United.
It's great to see the Legends, saw them at the Oval a couple of years ago,but would rather see the first team squad over here too. United are always over here, were in the Aviva last year. Would like to see Liverpool playing there. PS Mal Donaghy was a great player..regardless of his time at United, don't play in two world cups without being a decent player.
Well in direct response to my post you said 'The "more supporters" thing is nonsense.' And my post said that United have more supporters than Liverpool. Therefore, it's only logical that I drew said conclusion.
KPR still hasn't provided a single piece of evidence to proof that Liverpool are more popular. He discredits Wikipedia when it doesn't suit his arguement and then quotes Wikipedia when it does backup his arguement. Absolute idiot.
I wonder how he'd get on if they offered a University course called 'Anti-Manchester United.' His thesis would be about 1,000,000 words long, 10 words of which would make sense, those being the title.
I think you'll find that I didn't quote anybody when I made that post. It was a statement aimed at the argument as a whole. So no, it wasn't a logical conclusion to make (Y)
Your buddies have done likewise and still claim that Liverpool are less supported even though they have supporters in 6 more countries than Man United do. Man United are supported in 24 countries,Liverpool in 30 countries. Then again they still believe they are the most decorated club in England even though they have won 2 less trophies than Liverpool. 40 is more than 38...welll it everywhere except Surrey,Salford and Singapore.
I doubt he could even spell his own name nevermind the title, not that it's difficult to spell "Dick".
