How does he feel about this saying it was his biggest task keeping everyone here? Do you think he knew or has Ashley gone behind his back? Starting to support Pardew last thing i want is for him to walk out
I think Carroll requested a transfer and Ashley actually tried to keep him before that. Ashley is generally a **** but this particular episode is not his fault.
Pardew and Ashley would've tried, but in the end it was Carroll who handed in the transfer request so we've only got him to blame
Im sure Pardew said he would not have accepted the job if he was not given assurances that andy carroll would stay therefore were does this leave him
Let's be honest, Andy was only worth 35+ for us as a loyal local lad who'd spend his career here. The second he ends his posturing and requests a transfer, 35m suddenly becomes a great price. If he really wants out (which apparently he does), you've got to take that money, and I'm sure Pardew understood that. Even if we reject this now, the twatwafffle would have left us the next chance that came along.
carroll reqeusted it, 3 months after signing a new contract and saying the "i love this club" disapointing yes, but if a player doesnt want to be here, get rid. lets hope it doesnt have an effect on players at the club or the manager.. the thing is pardew said in his 1st interview newcastle were building for the future...
BBC Sport's Dan Walker on Twitter: "Tottenham came close to nicking Andy Carroll off Liverpool, but the striker wanted to join Liverpool as soon as it became clear that Newcastle would sell him." that last bit again " as soon as it became clear that Newcastle would sell him."
he's got 35 m+ to build now and agree with you about if a player doesn't want to be here, get rid as ourselves the bin dippers and the smb's have found out....he's gone ...his choice...time to move forward yes as soon as they accepted his transfer request, that's all, wish people would stop trying to find an angle to blame the club it's no ones fault but Carrolls
agree and has been my issue with this transfer all day,if he gets it all then great but somehow i can't see it
No arguing that. It's what I was telling friends all day (non-Newcastle supporters of course) who didn't understand why we weren't biting their hands off to get the money. But if he doesn't want to be here, you almost have to take the offer, even if we'll never see the money on the pitch.
