I'm beginning to not care who the next manager is/will be I just want the whole sorry situation sorted out asap. I know next week we should have our answers but do we really believe our club can sort themselves out in time to give us a fighting chance in the coming window. I've not felt this low since we were relegated in 1958. And I've put the Whisky bottle away now, so that's my tuppence worth.
If reports are correct then the right man is English/German bilingual and knows the German market. Would narrow the available pool considerably. This would lead me to believe Klinsmann is just the press making the easy link as he only managed Bayen for a season. Can't know much about the German market surely? Where as this Keller seems to tick those boxes better. Could be something in it.
I don't. Think a year 1 promotion push was never ever on the cards anyway and can't see that changing. Going to take a few year to sort us imo.
It would appear that no one is good enough for our club, because every manager/coach linked with the job is getting pulled to bits on here before they've got anywhere near the interview room.
I can see McClaren coming in on an interim basis if this goes on. He's still living in Yarm, needs to re-invent himself.
Dead right but I honestly can't see a UK based manager comming here atm. Keller could be the man to succeed here though -it's a right mess we're in
If Jurgen Klinsman becomes our manager I will spaff my pants It would be a great appointment His teams play great football.
Didnt like the idea before. But im a fickle ****er, and now we are a chumpionship club, Klinsman could be just the ticket. Considering the other names linked so far, this is far more exciting. Dont mention the war.
After Bayern sacked him the players said he was so tactically inept that they used to decide their own strategy going into the game. Always thought he did better in America than expected though.
I wish our players had that kind of initiative when Moyes was in charge. I'm always dubious about achievements when managing national teams, it often doesn't seem like much more than a paid holiday.
According to this mornings BBC Website Klinsman has knocked us back as well. Can't say I'm overly bothered by that.
I don't know why we're even bothering looking for a long term manager, we're just making ourselves look foolish.
To be fair mate there is no confirmation from the club that we are going for any more managers since McInnes turned us down. Just paper bollocks and managers responding to paper bollocks.
He hasn't knocked us back at all. He's simply said the reports were false. World of difference. You put the worst spin possible on everything. "No truth on rumours coaching Sunderland FC in the near future."
How can he knock us back if we've never approached him? He's confirmed that the rumours were false so how can he knock back an approach which has never happened?
The thing about all this 'turning us down' craic is they are all spineless ****s and if the takeover goes through and there is money to spend every single on of these cowards who've distanced themselves from our club would skull **** their own grannies for a chance at the job
