With a career scoring record of 73 goals in 167 games at 25 so old enough to be experienced and young enough to improve i would take him tho not as our main man. Also would prefer to keep Best who for me has shown enough to deserve more opportunities and is also young but suspect we want to offload before signing and it aint gonna be Shola much tho many would like it to be. Prefer to see it be Lover with Ranger also sold or loaned out.
    Tiote to manure Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

The difference between him and Best is that he actually has a good goal scoring record, Best never did.

I have watched him for years now and will admit that he has the ability to play in the Prem and even good enough to play for England one day.

He came through Crewe academy who have produced some great footballers and his goal scoring form has been excellent. However most of his goals do come from outside the area so don't expect a target man or fox in the box type player. Plays best playing off a big man up front so would not suggest playing him as a lone striker but then his goals last season came as a lone striker. He has pace, vision and great positioning. Most of your fans will remember the goal he scored against you the other season but that still wasn't even his best goal that season. I would suggest watching youtube for his goal against QPR which was voted runner up to world goal of the season (think he was only beaten by Messi?).

As Newcastle fans try not to forget the last striker we sold you? Now didn't you call him goal king cole?

I'll have Maynard(quick, nippy, agile & a good finisher) .. but why can't we swap Ameobi/Lovenkrands instead of Best..???!!!

Don't worry I'm sure wages would be an issue plus the fact he is neither French nor does he play in France

Maynard is class, how he has remained in the championship this long baffles me. Seen him play quite a bit and he is better than anything we have at the moment. Strong, quick and a great finisher.
