Nobody wanted Bowen, Tymon has had his head turned by his agent and has started to believe the hype around himself, he hasn't proved himself at all, potential yes....proven no! He has the opportunity to be first choice here and really prove himself, but Nar more money and sitting on a bench ( at best) is better for him apparently
Tymon would be going in Stokes development squad, he wouldn't be anywhere near the first team. Assuming this is happening. There's nothing wrong with having agents involved, the real problem is the amount of influence they have and the motivation that drives it. They need their income to be capped and closely regulated. No commission, no payments from clubs or anything of the sort. They should be employed directly by the players and never paid a penny by anyone else.
A debate usually comprises of at least two opposing views. Mike Phelan probably thought he was doing a good job, but he'd be in a minority of one.In any event please forgive me if I don't regard you as the gospel on Steve Bruce's thoughts and views. So yes, your opinion is a fair one but it is still debatable and still only your opinion.
Speculation. As things stand currently, Josh Tymon is a professional footballer looking for his first professional football contract and the only club who are offering him one is Stoke City. Hull City did offer him one, but decided to withdraw it and offer a **** one in its place. I'm quite happy to accept that his dad/agent/representative took the piss with the initial demands, but that was no reason to bin all discussions and pull up the drawbridge. There's no guarantee that he'd be a first choice player for us next season. In fact, if we did plan to make him our first choice left back next season, you'd expect us to have made rather more effort to keep him. He's obviously a talented lad, he's an England U20 international, he's worth a couple of million already and that alone is a reason to try and keep him. Not that any of this matters, it looks like he's gone regardless.
Is Josh in Ayia Napa? Just seen a video on Facebook of him telling a lad he's always wanted to play for Stoke.
Big mistake with tymon , stoke will be reaping the rewards and a massive fee in a few years , our owners look every deal as profit so it's ok , the deal for maguire is average at best had we tied him down to a longer contract starting bids of 20m plus , how many times do these two idiots need to get burned constantly letting players contracts run down !
Sometimes it's just the way it is, unfortunately Harry's renewal time came at a point where it was unrealistic to get him to sign. A bad manager left him unfairly out of the team for years, then when he got his chance we were looking troubled and he was looked great. Blame Bruce for Harry's situation. It would be financially ridiculous to give every player a new deal at the end of each season as a few on here want us to do.
Its as good as Maguire saying 'Leicester where the only club for me when I knew they were interested...'.... which should have read 'Leicester where the only club for me when I knew they were prepared to pay me 80k a week'....
It looks like Aberdeen have come back with a counter offer for Maloney, offering him a two year deal to our one. He'd be mad not to take that at that stage in his career.
