Turd at Turty-Tree to one as Brian Gleeson would say (fecking annoying he is - where did they get him from?)
It's **** or glory week for RM. Wins AND loses spectacularly. He'll be stealing Frank's crown if he's not careful Fed up with seconditus ... I'm on City of Joy next, ridden by erm ...... oh ..... Saver on Afaak then!
Never Surrender 22/1 ew in the last. Tentative selection this one and I'm pinning my hopes on the fact that with it getting its head in front last time it's turned a corner and there's more to come. Reverse forecast with Atty Persse
Five of the first eight home in the Brittannia raced in the farside including the first three. So day 1 was center, day 2 was standside and day three was farside. Any one want to guess which part of the track tomorrow's draw bias bingo?
Wood Breizh looks an interesting runner for Mullins in the lucky last at Ltown, took a wee slice of 6/1
There certainly were some exciting finishes on Ladies’ Day. It is annoying when you are watching on TV and you can see your horse is going to collar the leader but you can also see somebody else’s horse is going to collar yours. So it was for Mori, denied the title of first Royal Ascot winner for her dad. As the winner Coronet will probably head for a Group 1, perhaps Mori will go for the Lancashire Oaks. The Gold Cup produced a driving finish that was thrilling to watch but I cannot help but feel that the better horse was second, having run a lot further than the winner thanks to his pilot deciding that the shortest route around all the bends was three horses wide. As it is, it was Big Orange’s day and it is his name that will be in the history books. Delighted to see Atty Persse win the finale for Frankel – have to confess I thought that his young jockey had made a real mistake sitting right up with the fast pace as there was a possibility that he would not stay, but he stayed longer than the mother-in-law.
Mirage Dancer ran a nice race, ground was probably fast enough for him and the two who beat him already had solid experience in classics, certainly the one you would take from the race and wont be surprised if he turns out to be the best colt from Frankels first crop, unfortunately they only pay out on best on the day.
