He was offered a new deal weeks ago if he's changed his mind and decided to stay that's ok as his old contract will probably run out on 30/6
I think Maloney will do a good job in the Championship as he's an intelligent footballer. Almost feels like a new signing as we thought he'd left Errrrr Welcome back Shaun!
He'll be decent in the Championship if he stays fit. You're right it feels like a new signing since it seemed he had left. Good to see Slutsky influencing some already, would be great if it means Jak and Clucas stay as well. We have the nucleus of a very good midfield, a decent keeping situation, and (currently) an ok strikeforce. Just the defence to shore up as a priority.
That's why I said if he stays fit. I was ridiculed at the time of signing, but at his age back then he wasn't reliably fit, and it's now two years later.
It was always going to be tough to sign Abraham on loan when PL teams were interested. Hopefully there's other players on our list we can move on to. Are Newcastle letting Armstrong out on loan again?
Not sure Swansea would ditch Llorente and go in with Abraham as their main forward but good luck to them if they do.
He's unlikely to be doing much defending (like normal), Villa have got three right-backs already, he'll be going there as a winger.
The last game Villa played against Brighton at home they played 4-3-3. He won't get much match time if he's going as a winger either.
Just checked and they played 3-5-2 for much of the second half of the season, maybe he's planning on using him as a wing back after all.
