According to some link on Newsnow Leicester and Watford have both bid £1.7m for the Jak. **** off ya pair o ****s. You can have Marshall for nowt.
Would be signed as understudy to 31-year-old Republic of Ireland stalwart Stephen Ward, who was probably Burnley's most reliable player last season. Robertson could learn a lot from Ward.
from the team that finished 6 points above us and couldn't beat us last season - Robertson is better than you pal - your level is Marney
People forget Marshall's wage has slashed too, he'll be on a wage other championship clubs could afford. Sunderland will be after a new keeper..
Great idea - Help our old pals out up in the North East. Could they afford his wage though? You'd better check with BCC exactly how much Marshall currently earns.
Someone wrote on FB.... at least Marshall wont be in danger of getting a two match retrospective ban for diving...!!!!
Given he's on a manageable Championship wage I'm surprised so many think that no Championship club could possibly afford his wage if we were happy for them to take him sans transfer fee.
So you want to give our competition a decent keeper for free? People seem to forget there has been no rumours around any bids for McGregor or Marshall! What would you rather have in pre-season, 4 keepers of pretty much equal talent who can do the job in the championship, or three keepers and an additional centre half, which has been paid for by one of the keepers leaving? We need to cut a keeper, if the only one we will get a fee for, and any offers have (or are likely to be made), are for Jak then he will go. Ideal world would be someone offering £2m for McGregor, but not likely to happen
Well he isn't decent, so I have no issue with it if it means we keep Jakupovic. He's on a better wage than Jak, I'd rather lose him and use the saving to bring a player in.
I know a lot of people won't like this but here goes nonetheless. Even though Jakupovic had a very good season, he was still one of the weakest keepers in the PL last year. I wouldn't expect him to move elsewhere and become the no.1, with the possible exception of Watford as Gomes is getting on a bit. In reality, there's not an awful lot of difference between any of our three senior keepers and they would all be very good Championship players
Yes, but that's easier said then done. Jak will interest a lot of clubs because he's cheap in both transfer fee and wages. I'd imagine the keepers most likely to leave are Jak and Allan
