Damn I was trying to post up a pic of their mascot - a horse called Bluey I do believe. Keep getting that 'red cross broken image' icon! That will teach me for getting ideas above my station!
still tho Jewell shouldnt be commenting about another clubs transfer activity especially if the club themselves have not disclosed any info - as mentioned yes we do want to know this news but it is unprofessional for another manager to lift the lid on things. dont get me wrong i like jewell and think he is actually a top manager but if i were the don or nige i wouldnt be best pleased.
Jewell also gave away a bit about his tactics...said he'd like to be able to play 4.4.2 which by implication he can't.
Think he will end up playing 442 tonight as got slated too much lately for being too defensive. Playing a formation he isnt comfortable with can only be good for us though!
I keep on agreeing with you. To be fair why do we care what Jewel has done/said? There's nothing there to get ****ty about. Some of you need to get off your high horse.
Don't forget tonight lads..... He's got a fat head, He's got a fat heeeaaaaad, Paul Jewell, he's got a fat head......... Went down well on Saturday.
Wonder what Cortese says when people come a'calling for players like Lambert and Lallana. He was obviously a lot firmer than when teams came in for Chamberlain, because they never came back. By setting a high valuation on Oxo, Arsenal knew they had some chance. Lambert and Lallana must have been clearly non-negotiable.
What Jewell said was for his own fans to get them off his back and to help him face the criticism when his side lose to us tonight.
Why is paul Jewell talking about Ipswich transfer targets? isn't that Jim magiltons job? Or has he been sacked?
Paul Jewell is losing the plot. He just seems to be talking about other players all the time in the media, rather than trying to sort out the shambles he has spent all his time with over the summer. I posted a thread over there, but they seem a tad touchy about it. Wonder why?
Yes they didn't enjoy that, I like the way you got called a skate. But signing Chopra, Bowyer, chasing Bullard etc is straight out of Football Manager 2011. It seems like he's just trying to placate the Ipswich fans by making it look like he is just hard done by.
I'm sure these disclosures are simply to try and deflect attention and justify why they have not got strikers like Lambert of Rodriguez as it would be easy for an Ipswich fan to look at such players and say, why don't we get him.
