I do salmon at the end of the evening once the coals are very low, add some nice cherry wood to the coals some oil salt and pepper and then lid on with vent open for about 20 mins. You can put the salmon on the grill directly skin down of course.

When the kids were small I used to do a banana dish as the coals were getting cooler. I would pierce the skin of a banana in various places, push chocolate buttons into the holes, wrap in tin foil and chuck on. 30mins later, would have a mushy, chocolatey hot banana which was served with ice cream

Doesn't sound like it was a visual feast...a brown, mushy, dog turd shaped dessert.

The home straight then bruv, fair play.

I've been busy as ****. Kids birthday, sun's been out, had loads to do.

Remember a while back @luvgonzo posted he had to do the gardening and tip runs etc.? I said I felt one of those days was in the air for myself.
Well I was right, I've been off work since Friday and had a list of 'jobs' to do from the Mrs. ****ing bossy bitch! Been a good few days though, drunk and smoked far too much.

Back at work now and working all weekend <grr>

My favourite part of the weekend was setting my new 60 inch TV up in the games room, ****'s like an arcade now. Couple more things to do like get a new sofa and some retro pics up and my games room will officially be the dogs bollox.

The games room sounds fackin fantastic.

I remember that conversation...i dont mind having a tip day, what i dont like is a nagging bitch in my ear telling me to do what i'm doing and reminding me of what else needs to be done like i dont know. Smoke weed, talksport in background, random tea breaks, get a text convo going with whoever, take all morning doing something that could have been done and dusted by half 9...love that ****.

Thought the season was kicking off this weekend when you said 'working all weekend' lol

I've always had a man cave, it's the secret to living in the same space as a woman. We need a bolt hole, somewhere to hide.

I used to have a sound proof home studio when I still mixed etc. She wanted an extension so that room is now part of the new kitchen <steam>

I've been dying to get something else sorted so I've claimed the dining room, the dining table can stay, everything else is going/gone. She's happy though as now she hasn't got a console connected to the front room TV!

All I need to do now is get a thick lock on the inside of the room.

    Barbie on tonight.

Got chicken tikka kebabs, a couple of pork steaks, a variety of tapas from Asda, salad, four pack of Mahou and six pack of Moretti.

    Good to go.

I've got a whole Piri Piri chicken in the fridge, might well joint it up and cook it on the BBQ.

I've just forked out a grand to have the garden pimped, including a tree felling... should all be done by Saturday afternoon, when the heavens will open on Manchester and I'll pack all of my BBQ food into the freezer until next month when we get a freak hot day.

Should make your own tandoori mix, much better than a stale old shop brand. Lots of recipes, but trust me, it is worth it.

The first barbecue of the year is like St Swithin's day at our house.

We have one in May and then that's it, it pisses down for the rest of summer.

One thing I do well is tandoori chicken thighs for the barbecue. I think the mix I use is in 'Rick Steins India'.

It's mainly cooked in the oven and then just finished off on the barbie. Really tasty.
