Your doing well no doubt about that, young Lookman is star material, I will watch Everton and Liverpool, with interest next season. Good days for football on Merseyside,

Does to me. Short has put this club in debt. He's selling our future so he doesn't have to pay for his mistakes. He could write that debt off anytime he wants. As Nads said on another thread. You're a billionare, take the hit.

I would be sorry to see him go. I know it's the nature of the beast but it's not often we have a player I'm as fond of as Pickford.

The question is, if this happened in January we could have got a couple of good players in and maybe stopped up, but £30m is great, we have Manone though and he a good keeper.

Holy crap. 30 mio for a gk that's a good deal for you.

Any of your other gk will be just fine in the championship.

But so much for pickford saying he'd never leave...

With all due respect look at the player rather than at statistics. He is a superb goal keeper, and is a great down to earth pro

You came on to be a snide and have a dig.

The first two parts were therefore unnecessary.

What Pickford actually said was he's not looking to leave Sunderland, but he'll never sign for Newcastle.

The mags have been jealous for a while of our academy and the talent we produce. They are probably also still scratching their heads at how Tim Krul didn't end up going for that sort of money <laugh> <doh>

Playing a single PL season isn't a statistic easily ignored though. I'm not disputing the fact that he looks like a future star, but usually for a price that high you'd expect the player to have shown they can perform at a high level for a longer period of time.

In any event, a player is only 'worth' whatever the buyer values them at. In this case Everton have decided he is worth £30m, so fair play to them and good luck to Pickford <ok>

Did you know that Pickford has 118 league appearances? It's not like he's barely played a game. He's played every level of our professional tier and excelled every time including the Premier League, with that rise he's picked up countless rave reviews from many a pro/ex pro/media/coach/manager in the game. He's also represented England at every level except seniors but that will change. Stop doubting him, you'll have egg all over your face fella. He's the real deal.

Ssn have just said 25m upfront with 5m worth of add ons.
Im gutted to see the lad leave but how can we justify keeping a keeper worth that kind of money when we need to build a whole new team of outfield players.
Hopefully Everton will come back for Kone again now.

When you think £30m is what spurs paid for sissoko and Pickford is a better midfielder

Tell them £45m for both and I'll personally drive them down there myself.

During the journey I'd tell Kone he's a lazy overweight ****er :emoticon-0148-yes:
