Liverpool are closely behind Manchester City in terms of pressing according to Opta

Dint blame him for 2nd. First one was poor, wasn't in corner and he was just slow getting across - not helped by wall not jumping.

2nd one, the ball is half an inch from SMallings head and he just watched it, not even attempted to head it away <doh>

nah. he was well over to side on free kick that was miles out and really didn't need massive wall nor be slow slow to move given he stood so far over to see it.

England have been together how long? 2 weeks?

they looks so technically limited and clunky. clearly southgate is hodgsons equal on the training field.

    awful imo

Stop now, or you'll have people saying they should be together even longer and play even more meaningless friendlies screwing up the domestic season even further.

true... though... some international teams can look like individuals can pass the ball, control it and make runs... it seems the monet most spurs players in particular put on an england shirt they lose control of their bodies and feet.

the players look ****ing awful. barely about to control the ball, no passes to feet no matter how easier.

Yeah, but this shows why it's about a team and not a collection of individuals - which is why I'm not gutted about not getting VvD, good though he is.
There have to be players currently under the radar who would work effectively with what we have.

There has to be a few but vvd is the best in the prem so they have to cone from outside.

Matip proves theres a good level of defender out there 100%

Presumably that is why he was Klopp's first choice, because he thought he would fit in?

We shouldn't be looking to buy the current "best", we should be buying tomorrow's best

    Thats illogical

The premise is only funtional if said player is literally a second away from a breakout season when bought.

A team full of potential or a team full of guys a seasin away from delivering by definition doesnt win.

You get the best you can get based on your attractiveness and budget.

If that meant vvd fine. If we utterly ****ed it.. well could be another reserve bought and make do with lovren and thats lfc all over.
