I absolutely disagree with the jokes being made today about the Conservative Unionist Negotiating Team for Brexit. It's not funny at all!
You are absolutely right. Corbyn and his team made the tactical decision to fight a positive campaign entirely based on what Labour would do for the country rather than what May and co would do to it. That is why at no time during the campaign did Corbyn make any personal attacks on his opponents, nor did he ever react to the vicious slurs directed at him - other than to refute them rationally and calmly.
It can certainly be revoked if not finished within a 2 year time period. Then the membership countries all have to agree on it anyway. If they don't, I believe we're still in. It's then that the British PM stops the game, picks up the football and says, "it's my ball and I'm going home".
Nope. The membership has to agree to any extension if we want it. If we reach 2 years we are out unless we ask for an extension and they agree to that extension. We do not by default remain in at the end of 2 years.
Unless we ask to remain in, in which case the terms of Article 49 apply. As we have already been deemed to qualify for membership, we just need a qualified majority to be allowed to stay.
No, I didn't receive any special editing, it was what I saw on the TV and heard on the radio, just like everyone else. You don't need to lean towards Labour to see that the manifesto was more positive and Corbyn actually interacted with people on issues they cared about. I'm concentrating on the campaign, the bits that I saw, not an exhaustive knowledge of politics. Yes May was dour, and her campaign was ****, but the only reason that Corbyn did more than ok? Come on, that's a little disrespectful to the voters. I'll be saying you see what you want to see next Perhaps you should give Corbyn a little more credit for running a very clever campaign aside from the suspicion you have on what he would actually carry through with if he got into power.
