Utter rubbish - they won't part with their only striker and he won't drop down a division and in wages.
Rather not have him, didn't he upset a lot at Leeds with his big man attitude and they let him go on a free before the end of his contact? Let's ask Kasper!
could def live with it, but we have been linked with so many, and up to now, got none, so i'll take it with a very large pinch of salt for the time being....
I seriously doubt we will get him! I don't think he will drop down a league. Although I would like to see Sven pull it off!
Paper talk, apparently Forest want him and Yakubu aswell. I cant see Everton selling Beckford as he had a decent season for them last season
He is a top player but went to the prem to soon. I don't think for one minute he will come, but would be a good signing if Sven pulled if off!
Well Beckford gets 30 goals in league 1 and got 10 in the prem so that means he would get 20 in this league
He's 27, I doubt he could have waited much longer. Anyway he's done pretty well there. Which means there is no chance of him coming here.
no go, everton do not want sell. they have confirmed that in the last month they have had NO bids or NO phone calls about any strikers. (yak, beckford,)
Although I have my doubts whether Everton would let him go, if it did happen I would be very happy to have him on board. Lots of pace, can score goals. He was highly rated at Leeds, I believe he left Leeds after seeing out his contract rather than commit to a new one, similar situation to Maynard now!
Leeds was in a different boat, they knew he wanted to leave and was in League 1 but they knew by keeping him til the end of the season would see them promoted but then they lose him for nothing. That payed off as they got promoted but Bristol wont
Beckford would be a great signing for you lot. Understandably left us at the end of his contract as he didn't start playing proffesionally until he was very late and wanted to prove himself in the PL and secure his future financially. He did have a bit of a "big man" attitude but it was one we could deal with because he always produced the quality and still got on with the rest of the team, unlike Schmeichel who's attitude outsized his ability.
