I'm just surprised you didn't make them get Lovren and Lallana to read out the statement personally in Liverpool town centre while wearing "We love Man U" t-shirts - you might as well have had some fun with it.
Well apparently Southampton wanted City or Chelsea because they felt we would offer more money. When sai ts valued him at £50m City balked at the price and said no and Conte said maybe but he wants to look for better options in Italy first. Liverpool got wind and Klopp tried to tap him up (whether or not this was with LFC's knowledge and blessing is unknown). Now you guys have had to withdraw Saints will have to either convince him to stay, force him to stay, or lower their asking price to re entice Chelsea or City. Pool were mad to want him at that price anyway. If even the frivolous City turned their noses up you know the valuation is bogus
I'd rather keep him thanks Not a chance in hell but there you go. According to itk on our board Virgil is livid.
I'd have loved to have seen him here, but when £50m was touted ages ago I said it was way too much, so I'm not gutted. These prices are beyond ridiculous.
The only theory I've heard that makes sense is that someone from Liverpool leaked the VVD wants to come to Liverpool to prevent a bidding war between Chelsea and Citeh. This must have pissed the saints management because I believe every transfer has some form of tapping up
Assuming he didn't have their permission, I'd bloody hope so. Either that or they're relieved the money's not being spent.
I did tell you all .. Are you shocked michael edwarda is a total buffoon when let lose in this position.
I agree with this. These days that the fee is the last thing agreed in a lot of cases. A local journo down here said something like the Saints board know what goes but feel the mark was significantly overstepped. I wonder how this will effect future relations between the clubs.
