Glad Newcastle are back, perhaps now the True Geordie will up his game on his football hangover videos....
He seemed uninterested last season when Newcastle were not in the PL.

Holy **** batman...
I came on here on Sunday ... shared a bit ... bonded a bit then left and then it all turned into an episode of John Terry meets the Ferdinands!

Cheers for the kind words guys but like I said...being a spur prepares you for anything life can throw at you or ... as one of my school kids put...go **** yer mum you ugly **** when asked to pick up a pen he dropped. In fairness the supply teacher looked like he was from Norfolk so it was an easy mistake to make <whistle>

When I was 14 I started a part time job at the local pub serving food and potwashing and I worked there for a couple of years.

When I was 16 I got a job at a local hotel doing the same sort of thing but on a bigger scale. More shifts, better pay etc.

Went to College and got A Levels in English Language and Literature, Business and Media Studies.

Always had a summer job of sorts. I've creosoted fences, painted storage containers, grass cutting, dog walking etc. I've always loved making my own money and I've always hated taking off my parents.

Then went off to Uni to study Sports Journalism which was a long time dream of mine but I absolutely hated it. It wasn't a total waste of time as I made some friends for life. I spent one year doing the course but I pulled out and just lived with the mates I'd made and living on savings from previous jobs.

Once that was done I moved back to where I live now. I got a job at the hotel I'd worked at when I was 16. They remembered me and I worked behind the bar. Eventually maintaining stock, managing rotas etc. Worked roughly 60/70 hours a week for a good year before I decided to get into a "proper" job.

I currently work in Local Government and have done for 2 and a half years now but I'm looking for a way out for something better paid. I've always been a Country lad but I have loved living in cities in the past so a job in the City would do me perfect.

Which Hotel buddy - if you don't mind disclosing?

Seen it now ... think you are OK ... restaurant is a few notches up from a Harvester <laugh>

Yeah it's more of a restaurant than a hotel. I was never really involved with rooms apart from the occasional room service.

To be fair, the thread was ticking along nicely until HIAG started swinging his handbag around.

Never mind the subject . Your current avatar reminds me so much of Laura Brannigan. :-(
