Whilst I agree we do need to try find an inbetween. Reckon a lot of big clubs see us as a soft touch (rightly or wrongly).
WE HAD VAN DYKE VIRGIL VAN DYKE I JUST DONT THINK YOU UNDERSTAND WE THOUGHT HE'D THROUGH A STROP AS HE FELL IN LOVE WITH KLOPP WE HAD VIRGIL VAN DYKE
Guess I should start preparing myself for today in a year's time when it's Gabbiadinis turn to be lured by You'll Never Walk Alone.
Indeed. Contracts help to determine how much you can get for a player. They do not determine how long you can actually hold onto a player for. (Now having said that, please don't let me down Southampton and accept some crappy £35m to £40m bid. Because then even I will get hacked off)
So what does personally involved mean? I would hope, that if any illegal approach has been made, Saints would report it, not just accept any tapping up.
Probably with our knowledge, for what it's worth. The fee is generally the last thing that gets agreed these days. By all accounts, we sorted personal terms with Gabbiadini long before we actually had an agreement to buy him.
Seeing as Ralph said that the books are balanced, should we expect to see £60m invested into the playing squad?...
Not just that every club does it. Every club does it with the foreknowledge of the other club involved. It's just that the order of business has changed.
Yep, every last penny of the £60 will be made available to the playing squad, which also includes wages and a **** watch... Semantics aside, sixty quid is all I expect to be ploughed back on.
Honestly can't see the excitement about Klopp. Was impressed with his CV when he first signed for Liverpool and he will please those who like to see an animated monkey on the sidelines but has he really got the best out of the players at his disposal? I don't think his win percent is that great either.
Yeh I mean I thought it was pretty obvious when he signed a new contract he would have been told he could leave if a decent offer came in. Why would he commit to such a long contract otherwise, would have been career suicide for him. This was clearly in both his and the club's plans and it's probably going to work out well for both. He's one of the best cbs around they don't stay at sides who finish 8th. Just think you have to applaud the board for getting him in so cheap in the first case.
Yeah I do agree with that actually. I will be okay with it if we have a decent spending spree, like when we bought graziano etc. If we have another summer like last year where we leave ourselves short again, it will be so frustrating.
