Just a bit annoyed at the timing of the deal.

Andy Carroll has every right to request a transfer; Torres is going to Chelsea, he is going to be put on a pedestal just like Torres and be paid 3 x as much as he's getting at Newcastle. He has the chamce to win the Europa League this season, and unfortunately the 'pool look to of turned a corner. They are a bigger club than us however bad a season theyre having.

Mike Ashley's actually doing the right thing, if a player wants to go, you have to let him leave if its a HUGE move like this. He'll only mope around the training ground thinking "what if.."

So I'm gutted that a player of his calibre and local lad is leaving, however I hope people stop causing uproar over it as its totally understandable. It makes us look like right idiots shouting "**** ashley this, **** carroll the traitor that", he is not a traitor, this is football. We are not Real Madrid.

However, if he signs Carlton Cole, then I'll riot.

^ yeah, he said he would be loyal and stay with the club, even throughout the transfer window. Then on the final day, hours before it shuts (we will find it very hard to get a decent player) he actually asks to leave. That is a scummy thing to do, football or not.
Torres and co. are different, they aren't from the area and there isn't a tradition of a No9 at these clubs unlike Newcastle

He is a **** though, he timed this as badly as possible and has been talking absolute **** about wanting to stay. We gave him his chance, stuck by him in several dicey court cases and he repays us by screwing us over to go be Liverpool's mercenary. Good luck replacing Fernando Torres, you ****er <ok>

Rossi is off to Spurs, time to go in for Defoe or Pavlyuchenko.

Could we not get someone like Cardozo of Benfica? Lavezzi of Napoli? Lopez of Lyon?

and he has only had 18 months or so of regular football - half a season in the prem. had he have stayed 3 or 4 yrs then went on to better things (europe, trophies etc) obviously we still wouldnt have been happy, but it wouldnt have been as much of a kick in the teeth. poor post in my view!

Cardozo is a donkey. Lavezzi wouldn't fit in to our system. Lopez would cost too much.

Pavlyuchenko is 29, he probably a realistic target now.

Posted this on another article, but it's more relevant to this one:

To be fair £35mil plus add- ons for a player who was outscored by Adam, Whittingham, Maynard and Chopra last season in the Championship is good business no matter what anyone says.
As long as we replace him and add quality throughout the squad we could do what Sunderland just have and become better overall in our squad.
We already have others who can score for us as evidence by the past few games without him .
Once this all settles down I think everyone will agree with me, look at Spurs as well with Berbatov if you want to see what a large cash injection can do from one player.

Cardozo a donkey? Are you kidding me? A handful in the air. Good on the ball. Good Technique. Benfica fans hold him in high regard.

Either that or we could raid Dortmund.

On another note, I reckon I'm gonna chuck a score on Liverpool to pinch 4th.

    Meireles
    Gerrard Adam
    Kuty Carroll Suarez

    Looks good to me!
