......has gone to Colchester on months loan. Perhaps we should have gambled and asked to take him as back up??
I do womder if Reading have shot themselves in the foot with Antonio. I was a big fan of Antonio and had really wished we had signed him. I think they tried to hold us to ransom with the transfer fee, now i am wondering if they regret that. I don't think they will now get anything like what we were offering for him.
Antonio would still be a good squad player for us i feel. if pardew was still here i reckon we would have signed him awhile ago.
Man City most definitely have a chance this year, if half of them just stopped bickering like little girls!
They looked awesome once the substitutions were made if they can play like that week in week out I am more than happy to see them do a Chelsea/Bkackburn and buy the league! Bout time the Premiership had a new winner.
Reminds me of watching Cork, Hammond, Lallana and Guly..... Well almost except we look just that bit better
we never offered them anything, he was at the end of his contract and reading simply enacted a clause triggering an extension.
Yes that is correct and once they enacted that clause and another year was put on to his contract we would of then have to of agreed a fee. As i was led to beleive once this happened the two clubs valuation of the player was miles apart.
My friend is a massive Reading Fan and he doesn't rate Antonio at all. He agreed he looked alright while playing for us in L1, but said since he has returned hasn't played well at all and doesn't think he's good enough for the Championship and L1 might be his level.
Oh dear, he stayed at Reading because he thought he could go on to bigger and better things. If he'd been on the bus when Nige came, he might have stayed at Saints who knows. However, I agree, he isn't good enough for the team now. Good luck to him, i'll always remember his efforts in the JPT 2009/10!
