This is the only source of these rumours so let's not get ahead of ourselves. It's unlikely this guy somehow has some information the rest of the world doesn't and that it's been revealed to him the same day Tuchel gets sacked. Probably just typical journalist making crap up to get people talking about him.
Not a scooby just saw 'heavy rumours' I really can't see it anyway to be honest, which is why I said the drink thing in the first place.
I can't say I'm going to believe the rumours, But who knows.. Crazier things have happened. PS, Dw I wont come to st marys first home game.
I heard that sadly the owner of the farmhouse passed away and it closed. Hoping I've been fed misinformation... loved that pub and owner was always lovely.
The media have picked up on the heavy orders for alcohol being placed by The Old Farmhouse to celebrate Tuchel's arrival.
The board must have made a decision by now....they must be waiting on Claude....or news of a takeover. Or nothing has changed. If they are waiting to see if they can get someone better.....well, that's plain disrespectful.
Ah. Really sad news. Apologies. Hadn't seen the post. I very much float in and out of here. Also hadn't realised it had re opened.
I do believe in fairies, I do, I do. (Thomas isn't rocking up here any time soon. Try not to get too excited by people making stuff up on the internet would be my cheap advice.)
Paddy Power quoted me 8/1 yesterday. You can only place a bet over the phone though as he's not priced in their current market.
http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/15317052.Puel_s_position_remains_in_doubt/?ref=mac http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/news/45779/ An opinion piece from the Ugly Inside....talking about the Echo story from this morning suggesting that Saints don't want to make a knee jerk reaction...i.e. will not consider replacing Puel unless it improves our situation. I have to agree with that.....another summer searching for a manager when we should be preparing for next season would be untenable. It would need to be a good manager to be better than giving Puel a second season. And who is available and could we sign him....things can go wrong at the last minute.
That would be a big risk...can't see that as a reason. If we wanted to replace him, we'd want to get started...rather than hope he lands another job in mid-July. If you totally ignore the fans, would Saints even be looking to replace Puel only one year into his contract after a season in which we did ok and were never in any real danger of relegation. Relegation being the only reason that clubs normally fret about their manager. I suspect there has been some hard talking about what was wrong and right about this season and what will happen in the future. I can easily believe that Puel is not happy....he must regard us as an ungrateful bunch. Some of the team seem unsettled, but if you keep Puel and support him, you move them on. Perhaps Claude has gone on his holidays to mull it over.
