    Been today myself.

    Loved it.

So many good acts on. Liked Bastille the best. Kings of Leon were good as were Sean Paul, Shawn Mendes, The Chainsmokers and Clean Bandit.

    Pizza, Chips and a (non-alcoholic) drink - £12
    Ice Cream - £3
    Lager - £5
    Cider - £5.50

Massive variety of food and booze.

Well done for everybody respecting the minutes silence too. Impeccably observed.

Arrived at Walton Street at 11:30 Was on a bus by 11:50. Arrived at the venue at 12:30. Missed Little Mix and got inside for Stormzy's last song around 1:30? (didn't bother me as I didn't want to see either of them).

I'm honoured to have been a part of this weekend. It's change a lot of perspectives of Hull too. Lots of the acts and DJs saying how nice the people are etc on Twitter and such afterwards.

Bastille, Sean Paul, ****ing Little Mix?

No idea who the others are (I don't know who little mix are either but I know they're the girl band of choice for u10's).

    What a drab affair.

Charts 'music' is a rancid pile of bland, talentless dog plop. Every song in the top 50 is literally the same song with different lyrics.

We all have different tastes in music most of the music played during this weekend I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to but so what.
I get the feeling a lot of people had fun this weekend so fair play to them.

Had to go alcohol free yesterday to pick up my daughter and her mates from Walton street.

    Bloody Radio One. ;)

She had a brilliant time. Doubt if she'll do much revising today.

I managed to catch some of it on the red button on Saturday, and had it on the radio in the garden when visiting family yesterday afternoon.
Whilst some of the music was not my cup of tea, it was great to hear everyone having such a good, safe, time.
Although we all know it was Burton Constable, Radio 1 were referring to Hull every few minutes for almost 2 days.
Great publicity for Hull and the region in general.

Didn't go but my grand daughter went and said it was a great weekend. I've listened to a few of the sets on You tube, and Biffy Clyro were excellent.

    Yeah thats spot on.

Regardless of where it was, there was what, 25k people there each day? Majority not from Hull. They'll all go away with great memories of Hull, even the ones who never went anywhere near the city.

    Young people. And older ones.

    Happy memories of Hull.

    Fab.

Oh right, well in any case it's still a lot of out of towners, plus the coverage over the weekend, and the majority of the live sets will be repeated, a lot, over the coming week, live on radio, and every show on R1 is feeding positive impressions of our fair city.

    S'all good aint it?

I wasn't aware of the 90% thing tbh.

Jesus, just think, 90% of 25k each day, from the ER, all happy.

Its incredible when you think about it.

Caught Kings of Leon right at the end on BBC 4(also on I player now). The place was rocking and at night looked amazing. Its what life should be all about. Daughter was there and was buzzing. Young uns should have great things to celebrate . I'm glad all the events in the country went ahead. Its how it should be.
