Sorry for butting in but it's what he DIDN'T say that is the problem. He's stating the bleedin' obvious when he mentions the relationship with the fans. Yet it's not all the fans is it? Except he refers to us as one entity when we all know some fans are quite happy with the Allams. He also didn't mention that huge pachyderm sitting in the corner - the membership. It's going to be an unmitigated disaster next season. As usual he talked but he didn't say a lot.
Excellent post, or at least I think so! Absolutely agree they've done SO much to annoy people that it seems impossible to believe they will ever get some people back on side, and he seems to acknowledge that, but I thought it was a balanced and dare I say articulate interview. Trouble is I now don't know whether I want a prospective buyer to come on the scene again at the moment as if that drags on we're back in the mess we were last pre season.
The club needs to go up so they can sell. So at least for the upcoming season the Allams' will give it the best shot to go up (within a budget). Its not often you can believe them but in this case I think its true, In terms of last seasons preparation, I believe that is the honest reason why we were so ill prepared (in terms of signing players) BUT it doesn't excuse it!
So when you stated that he was being honest and accurate and used that to criticise people with, that was purely based on your belief that he was telling the truth rather than anything he's said actually being objectively true? They have no intention of selling we are a cash cow. So I'm guessing the 4 are Maguire, Robertson, Herandez & Grosicki. I noticed he laughed when talking about the mess pre-season. I don't find it funny I went to round 30 games this season which wasn't cheap and we was given no chance by the Allams. So we can expect a new manager in place within 2 weeks and recruitment done by July 1st. Like father like son so I don't believe any of the **** that comes out of that family's mouth.
I'd have said Elmo, there's no way he's staying. Plus Clucas. But not instead of any of those 4, so it's probably 6.
And when you combine that with Mason & Odubajo as long term absentees we are likely to be in a complete mess again.
After watching it I just thought it was "sad" especially when he said its best for us and the supporters if we leave. It could have been so different and still could if they just change a few things
He just comes across as somebody who hasn't got a clue about football. It's like he's been told to say the things he did about style of play, formations etc. Reckons 4 out (Maguire, Robertson, Hernandez and Clucas/Jak) and 4 step up from Academy into the squad.
Marco gave him a hour or two and tried to explain to him the importance of preparation and the supporters. Sadly the silvered spooned **** still hasn't go a clue.
