Nass, I know that in the greater scheme of things--and I only bet for fun these days--it's not a great deal, but when a horse is 17lbs under a rating, turf or AW, with a 5lb claimer on top; why can't you just let the horse do the work when it wants to, rather than empty its tank. It was an 8f race for God's sake.

eez, perhaps the fact the claimer was riding was the reason for how it ran. I agree with you that with a horse like that they should just run it as it has been doing and let it deal with the draw as it goes

    6.10 Windsor

    Dana's Present 25/1

Bit of a tentative selection here but I definitely think that Dana's Present showed enough on his debut that he warrants a selection. After being well backed, George Baker's colt was pretty green but got the hang of things quite nicely towards the finish on what turned out to be an educational ride. Tony Culhane comes straight from Kempton for 1 ride at Windsor tonight and was on board for the debut performance. It is George Baker's only runner at Windsor tonight and the fact he is entered for the Weatherby's Insurance Stakes and the Totepool 2YO Trophy demonstrates that they clearly think a bit about the horse.
