Sorry, yeah I have re-looked at Sky and yeah I'm incorrect, it was a suicide bomber. Anyone found guilty of assisting should be hung
I hadn't seen any name, but was just going off Sky saying that police have identified the bomber and that he was male. Wouldn't be the first time Sky had got it wrong though. Apparently some American networks have named the person but the British networks aren't repeating the name as there is some doubt whether it is correct.
We can't ignore the politics and religious aspects of all this. However its ****ing heartbreaking to see these parents situations. That 8 yr olds picture is haunting for me as a dad with a girl of a similar age.
Obviously it is all heartbreaking, but the point that broke me last night was seeing the desperate messages being published by parents who couldn't find their kids. I can't even begin to imagine the torment.
There was another interview from a mother and daughter who were in attendance and they explained to sky news that there was a suspicious lady smirking/fidgeting/uninterested in the show and the security had told them to stop being judgmental.
I've long thought someone could slip into a football match at the end when they have the exits open. Just a skinny steward to get past then they are up the stairs and boom. This seems to be what has happened at this concert last night. There's a real vulnerability at stadia when people are leaving. They don't even need to be in the stadium really, just stand outside and wait for the crowds to engulf them.
I thought it might be. I've had sky news on all day and that interview hasn't been shown during that time, or posted on the sky website.
Which is why we shouldn't change. They don't like what we do; they don't like our freedoms and it's these that we should maintain and uphold. Not only against the terrorists but the knee jerk brigade who would equally bring us down to the terrorists' level.
I vote NO. NEVER I am not going to be ground down by the authorities in the name of public safety to lose my freedoms, my security and my data. Never. That way the terrorists and the state both win.
